About
South Chesterfield Golf Club (previously known as Grassmoor Golf Centre) was established in 1992. Buggy and trolley hire are available. Excellent bar and restuarant facilities, open daily 8am to 10pm.Visitors, Societies and group bookings very welcome 7 days a week. Well stocked discount golf shop and club repairs. Golf lessons available with Snr. Professional, Gary Hagues.
Heathland course incorporating water hazards and of club: testing greens. 18 hole golf course, 5982 yards, SSS 70. 26 bay floodlit driving range and practice putting area.

Great Course to teach your son
I have played this course 6 times with my son (he’s just started) & it’s a great course for a starter & a 19 handicap.
A great layout & a very enjoyable course to play. Staff are friendly & the club house is accommodating & has a good outside set up.
All in all a well recommended place to play a variety of golf Abilities.
Players and bunkers let it down
Have been playing this course on and off for a while but probably my worst experience in a long time.
Firstly all the tee boxes are suffering from the dry spell, tough to find a patch of grass to hit from. They do seem to have been keeping up on the greens however but every single one today was covered in pitch marks, I ended up fixing at least 3 on every hole.
Further to this the bunkers are sparse at best and you pretty much may as well hit from the cart path. To make this worse, again every single one of them was unraked with footprints the whole way through.
For the money it was an. acceptable but if you’re wanting anything resembling a proper round I would avoid and pay a little more.
Great course ..rock hard fairways!
I love this course but either the dry weather be warned the fairways are rock hard...which i blame for my poor iron play 😂
Fab greens
This is becoming one of my favourite courses.Its in fabulous condition very tidy no litter and plenty of bins etc. Par 4s are not too long and some lovely par 3s.The greens are in fab condition.We went on a Monday and it wasn't too busy.I can't fault this course and not over priced either.

Great value at £13 for 18 holes..... excellent greens. Only negative is poor bunkers. Would definitely recommend.
Class course
Class course for the money and in great condition. Always love playing here and the facilities are fantastic to boot. A real hidden gem and they don't charge the earth, but could easily command more.
Golfnow policy is poor
The cancellation policy of GolfNow is 24hours which is not suitable given weather forecasts in the UK. The weather was so bad (worse than forecast) on our day of play but because the course was not officially closed we could not cancel or even rearrange, we therefore paid for 2 rounds of golf that were not used. I will not be using Golfnow again.

Great course, great price. Still off winter tees but the course is in great nick! Very warm welcome and all other players friendly!
Super busy today but everyone respectful and pace of play was good considering the amount of people out. Will definitely play again!
Great course - hidden gem
Played this course for the first time even though I only live 20 mins away . Usually play Tapton but this course blows that one away . Really impressed and will only get better in summer
Great course and friendly staff.
Great course for all skill levels. Some difficult shots to pull off but leaves you feeling satisfied.
Only gripe is playing behind a four ball consisting of people unwilling to let smaller group through. They must have been playing for a green jacket with how long it took to clear a green.
Very highly reccomended
Was a bit sceptical when booking due to the drainage in the past and had a lot of rain again recently but the conditions of the course were more than better than expected.
Will be playing again very soon.
