Good round
The course is very dry ,but plays well if you can play of the top, you could hurt your wrists if you take a divot. The greens are in very good condition considering the very dry weather.
Very hard ground
Recent dry weather doesn’t help the course at all. The ground is rock hard . Besides that, a very nice course.
south chesterfield
Really enjoyed the course ,greens in very good condition, fair ways hard which gave plenty of distance on your drives. friendly staff great value for money, definitely play again.
Great course and fantastic value for money only negative bunkers could do with some sand like playing off concrete
Brilliant condition
Despite all the very dry weather we have had the course was more than playable as played a course recently that was very bare especially round the greens but this course didn't have this issue.
Love playing here known as Grassmoor to the locals.
Very slow play
Booked on line, queued on every hole, came off after 12 which tool 3 n half hours. At one point had 3 4ball groups waiting to tee off
Brilliant course
I have played this a few times now and have always enjoyed the rounds it does get a bit wet but in the summer it is fantastic value for money and really well layed out
Pro shop and bar are also great
A very nice course.
This was my first visit to this course since the completion of its course renervations. I can honestly say that they have done a brilliant job and the course is in great condition.
I would absolutely recommend that you give this course a try...you won't be disappointed.
Inconsistent Conditions
Slightly frustrating round. Some greens soaking wet and fairly slow, others bone dry and like a ping-pong table. This made it impossible to judge how to play the course. Also disappointed that some fairways were very hard to differentiate and areas of long grass caught the ball when attempting to run the ball in to greens due to not being able to attack them due to the aforementioned point.
Tee boxes were in terrible condition for this time of year, with very little grass on them. 5-10 mins waiting on every hole and a group of lads had jumped their tee times and were holding things up hacking around.
Tbf, the greens did run true when we got there.
Overall, this course was a bogey for me. Much more potential than the quality that was seen mid-May.
Great Course to teach your son
I have played this course 6 times with my son (he’s just started) & it’s a great course for a starter & a 19 handicap.
A great layout & a very enjoyable course to play. Staff are friendly & the club house is accommodating & has a good outside set up.
All in all a well recommended place to play a variety of golf Abilities.
Players and bunkers let it down
Have been playing this course on and off for a while but probably my worst experience in a long time.
Firstly all the tee boxes are suffering from the dry spell, tough to find a patch of grass to hit from. They do seem to have been keeping up on the greens however but every single one today was covered in pitch marks, I ended up fixing at least 3 on every hole.
Further to this the bunkers are sparse at best and you pretty much may as well hit from the cart path. To make this worse, again every single one of them was unraked with footprints the whole way through.
For the money it was an. acceptable but if you’re wanting anything resembling a proper round I would avoid and pay a little more.
Great course ..rock hard fairways!
I love this course but either the dry weather be warned the fairways are rock hard...which i blame for my poor iron play 😂
Fab greens
This is becoming one of my favourite courses. Its in fabulous condition very tidy no litter and plenty of bins etc. Par 4s are not too long and some lovely par 3s.The greens are in fab condition. We went on a Monday and it wasn't too busy.I can't fault this course and not over priced either.
Good course
Course has some great hole in it but ground was rock hard
Tee boxes very worn and it's only may
Must have a lot of traffic through it
