Challenging Course and quite the walk
Course was superb and the holes were challenging, course in good condition given heavy rain. Would recommend a buggy for first time playing
Spectacular views
Great course to play however it is a tough walk with lots of blind tee shots. I would get a buggy next time. The views from almost every hole are just stunning as you're so high up but the wind does affect ball flight a lot. The layout was good just 1 hole was confusing to find. The course is short but challenging the staff were friendly the condition was very good. Overall a great test of course management.
Kendal course
Played the course once last year and enjoyed it but as a fair few holes are blind its difficult first time round, enjoyed much more this time, some very interesting holes to say the least, especially 15,16 steep down hill par 4,s,a couple of lung busters on the front 9,but the views are spectacular, some huge greens and some undulating, front 9 has quite a few par 3's so scoring seems easier than the longer back 9, great course well worth a visit.
Quirky and Hilly
Played here before. Relative down visiting so took him to some new courses for him. Weather was awful but I enjoyed the course. I’ve actually got my three mates entered in a Texas scramble next month.
Looking forward to going back.
Very good day at Kendall golf club . We were given a very friendly welcome in the pro shop and this continued on the course and bar afterwards.
The course was in good condition and had some interesting and tough holes. Although it appeared short on yardages the hilly nature more than made up for it. Lots of blind shots and thought provoking club selection dilemmas. Breathtaking views.
Would recommend and definitely play again if in the area.
Lovely mature course
Played course in great weather conditions and little wind which helped a good round. Not the longest in the card but don’t be deceived, the hills and slopes makes it feel much longer and a true tough test. Met by very friendly reception in pro shop who explained the course to us. Few blind shots and a bit of local knowledge would have helped but overall very enjoyable. Would highly recommend and great value at the price.
Great tricky course, plenty of hills and great scenery
Great course to play, would be a good walk if we didn’t hire buggies as a lot of the course is up hill. Enjoyed the lay out Of the course playing off high tee’s into greens below.
Lovely course
Really enjoyed the course. Some great holes, challenging and interesting. Well kept. Very hilly.
Great scenery.
Bring electric buggy.
Great surprise!
Would thoroughly recommend playing this course. Some great scenery and some great holes. Challenging also!
A great round on a very windy day
A friendly welcome and basic facilities available in current conditions. Course in great condition bearing in mind the amount of recent rain. Good variety of holes, no great technical hazards but terrain and wind were a sufficient test. Great views all round. Will certainly return.
Course was waterlogged
Arrived it was raining heavy but as soon as we got to the 1st green we could see it was unplayable there was so much standing water on the greens. Came off the course after 3 holes. Asked the pro if they could do anything toward a refund or credit to play again sometime but he said the course was playable which anyone could see it wasn’t.
Phone the club up when I got home and they were extremely rude.
Safe to say I don’t won’t to go back anytime soon.
Great day out
Our home course was deluged. So we cancelled, checked the weather and chose Kendal.
I've played her before which is why I chose it. It's a hilly course and glad I had my electric trolley.
The views over the lake district are just stunning so whether you play well or poorly, it doesn't really matter. I played quite well as it happened.
Whole course was in great shape, green were quick enough and the bunkers had decent amounts of sand in them.
Well worth the 80 minute drive to get there.
Course with a view!
A shorter, but challenging course.
Great 360 degree view from 13th tee, we saw the rain coming!
Interesting 17th with the green hidden behind a face of rock!
Our game was average, but we enjoyed the course.
Cheap and cheerful
Stunning views. Extremely hilly and exposed although we played it on a calm day. However wouldn't like to play in windy weather.
Staff pleasant and helpful. Also spoke to club members on the way round who were all very friendly.
Greens were recovering from the winter and appear to be to USGA spec so are quite bare for this time of year.
Overall the course represents good value for money especially when you get to play the strangest Par 3 ever, 130 yards over a rock wall to a blind pin, amazing!
