Cheap and cheerful

Stunning views. Extremely hilly and exposed although we played it on a calm day. However wouldn't like to play in windy weather.

Staff pleasant and helpful. Also spoke to club members on the way round who were all very friendly.

Greens were recovering from the winter and appear to be to USGA spec so are quite bare for this time of year.

Overall the course represents good value for money especially when you get to play the strangest Par 3 ever, 130 yards over a rock wall to a blind pin, amazing!

Great course , great views. Worth a visit

The course was in excellent condition, well maintained in every part. The layout is challenging but playable by a high handicapped player such as me!

Greens are well manicured and excellent fairways make for a great day’s golf.

One disappointing point was a very slow fourball of members that wouldn’t let the backlog play through, at any point, even though their own signs suggest they should. Others gave up.

Will consider this before rebooking.

Well worth a visit as long as you avoid the fourball!

Good fun hilly course

As you would expect from its location it is for those who like hilly course, which I do. You play over the summit of the hills and you can have an extra challenge from the wind. Shooting over rough to the fairway on a few holes and in one case quite a high wall.

Fairways and greens were in good condition.

Very enjoyable

A course worth visiting. We were a 4 ball with handicaps of 6-20 and all enjoyed the layout and many different types of hole. First time visitors, there were a couple of holes that we couldn’t see the green after decent drives so believe the pins should be taller on some. The greens needed a little work but overall it genuinely Is really enjoyable course.

Kendal Golf Club

This was my second visit to Kendal GC in recent weeks and was as enjoyable as the first.

The course is in great condition following recent poor weather. The greens had been bored which was the only drawback, although they were still quite good.

For the cost of a round this course is a must, well worth travelling to and taking in a challenging course with a great layout.

I’m looking forward to returning next year

Wonderful course

We played Kendal as our second round of a weekend away. The first round was at Keswick and this course simply knocks spots off it. In brilliant condition, literally every hole is well laid out and a great challenge. Added to that amazing views from almost every angle, this is right up there with the best courses I've played.
