Course Highlights
The course layout earns high praise for its strategic doglegs and tree-lined fairways that reward thoughtful shot selection over raw power. Greens consistently roll true and fast, with friendly staff and strong value making this a course worth the trip.

As ever we thoroughly enjoyed our game at the course.

We were welcomed and tee'd off earlier than booked and went round the course without being slowed at all. Around the greens was excellent whereas the fairways were suffering from the drought and extreme hot weather. Drinks after were welcomed.

Well worth it.

I’ve played Meon countless times, in fact, 20 years ago I was a member. We thought the course conditions were superb (however, they should be at this time of year!) the greens were true, but somewhat slower than expected. The only major downside were the bunkers - in fact they were more like mud traps than sand traps and in over 30 years of playing the game I have never seen more stones than in the Meon bunkers. My playing partner hit a hidden pebble below his ball in one bunker that was the size of a golf ball!! They need desperate attention.

Great course.

Had a good round here. A few parts of the course could do with a bit of improvement but still very good.

Down hill

This course is so tired, minimal green keepers and no budget to do anything to the course. Tee boxes and Bunkers awful, weeds everywhere, shabby and not worth even £25.

Such a shame because it used to be and could be good again in the right ownership. The hotel looks so tired, current owners Britannia are disgraceful.

Booking Issue

It was a good job we were early because Golf Now hadn't put our booking through to Meon Valley. Thank you to Meon Valley staff who managed to sort out a tee time for us. Will just go direct next time.

Great course

Course is in excellent condition throughout, had a 4 ball match in front that were a little slow, but we played through eventually. Also witness a buggy going all the way round so must have fixed the issue reported by someone else, but worth checking. Played a twilight tee time, so a little cheaper but this course is a little more expensive than some others in the area, but still worth playing. Some of tee boxes could do with flattening out again but I’m being picky.

Misleading reviews

The bad reviews are very misleading; they are based on conditions after a lockdown of which there were only two greens keepers working part time. Since then the conditions are outstanding and the greens are incredible!

Do not play.

I have played meon valley many a time over the years and enjoyed myself. This was very different, the course was in horrendous conditions, greens with chunks out, big bobbles when putting. They charging £50 a player that with 9hole buggy as they can’t use buggies front 9 due to a broken bridge, really really disappointing and won’t be going back.

Greens

The course is in great condition apart from the greens. They are in an absolutely shocking condition considering the price they are asking for a round. I've played this course on numerous occasions and it's the worst I've seen the greens
