Course Highlights
The course layout earns high praise for its strategic doglegs and tree-lined fairways that reward thoughtful shot selection over raw power. Greens consistently roll true and fast, with friendly staff and strong value making this a course worth the trip.

Playing after Lockdown

Great layout; and a good walk. But ....;.. the greens where awfully slow. It ruins play on what is meant to be a quality course.

A chance to show us how great a course it is; failed. Won't be recommending in this condition !! Which is a shame as the layout is great

Lovely coarse, very wet

Coarse was very wet, took away alot of enjoyment of playing there for the first time. Many lost balls from them just sinking into the mud. Even fairway balls being lost. Would be a lovely coarse in the summer just not after alot of rain in winter.

Great course, couldn't fault it in any way, easy to walk, set in mature woodland, beautiful greens, friendly staff and a pleasurable experience.

I have played intermittently here for many years. This was the best I had seen the course. Fairways were running and cut, with true running greens. We were told to speed up on our approach to the first green as a 3 ball were about to tee off. The course was empty (have had 5+ hour rounds before and waited on most tees) and as a two ball we completed in 3 hrs 40 mins.

Wet weather
Walked

Mr

Last time we came to play here, the course was CLOSED due to the wet weather. Today the course was OPEN, despite the very same heavy wet weather conditions. We played and would have been better off with wellies as the course was VERY soft and greens with standing water or so wet you couldn't putt. Only played first 9 holes and it wasn't worth continuing. Would only recommend couse in good weather !!

Meon Valley back to awesome standard

Had heard that post Marriott changeover that the course quality had dropped off but for sure it’s back to its best now. What a great course, long, tricky and in great nick! Superb course and great amenities and bar. Awesome day. 5 stars. Love it

A good test

We were given a fairly late tee time (later than requested), which meant we had to rush the last few holes to finish before it got dark

Meon

Meon Valley it's a very good golf course that has never reached its potential

All the greens have been hollow tine

This was not in their advertise meant

And the pro shop did not tell us.

I realise that has to be winter work but you're still charging a summer green fee

Ridiculous pace of play

Played as a one ball, stuck behind two snot faced lady four balls who refused to let me play through even though I was waiting for them all to tee off on the par 3 12th. Ended up going back and playing the front nine twice such was the slow pace. Course condition is good and some very challenging holes, however struggling to find any other positives and staff not very friendly. Will not be returning.
