Wow what a hidden gem in Salford prob best greens I have ever played on some construction still happening on the course but a must course to play on

Tournament quality greens, don’t let the short yardage fool you this course presents challenges for all levels! Friendliest staff, locals and members, which is hard to come by! This is how a golf course should be. we will definitely be back

Played this course today. The course was in great condition. Short course but by no means easy. Very tight fairways and hilly. Well maintained fairways and greens. You can get round this course with no driver in your bag and still shoot a low score. Only issue I found was navigating too the next tee and a few holes, but help from green keepers and other players sorted that out. I will definitely be playing here again.

Very enjoyable course. When you’re looking for a course that’s looked after, well treated and value for money, this is it. Great set up. Yes some of the greens and tees are close together but when you’re on the course that does not matter.

Some testing holes. No wide fairways, so it’s not the easiest. But you’ll enjoy it, without a doubt.

Great compact course, even if you play terrible (like myself today) can stay conjure up some pars. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and was throughly enjoyable day.

Short course but plenty of difficulty on approaches, loads of variety and some very tough greens on new holes. Forgiving for the not too regular player and very quick pace of play. Fun round, 18th hole a highlight.

Don’t turn up thinking it’s short and easy. What it lacks in distance, it makes up for in fast greens and variation of holes. You have to think about what you’re doing.

Unlike most other courses driver is probably too much club on most holes.

I would definitely recommend.

This course may not be the longest but still challenging course condition was excellent and the locals all friendly.

Course was easy to find, just 5 mins from the M60. I really liked the layout and condition of the course and although it’s not a long course, it’s quite hilly and challenging but fair for players of limited ability like me.

Booked on line , met by welcoming staff in the clubhouse, helpful and knowledgeable , Perfect playing condition to be fair but equalled by a beautifully kept and challenging 18 holes of pure joy .A real quality round and what was really noticeable was how friendly and upbeat everybody was ,superb putting greens, a real well thought out course layout, good signage, and in all honestly cannot wait to play it all over again .I had heard mixed reviews in the lead up to booking this round, absolute nonsense and iv played em all, from Tytherington to Worsley to Wilmslow to Shrigkey Hall,! This Prestwich Course I tell you is bang on point , no doubt about it ! Well done indeed

Booked a game of golf with two other friends which was cancelled by the course only three hours before play via E Mail.Phoned the club and spoke to the Profesional who stated that unless I paid the club an extra £11.00 each we couldn’t play even though the course was very quiet.I explained that I could not contact my two other playing partners as they didn’t live near me at short notice.Wasn’t interested and couldn’t wait for me to end the call .Terrible customer service and wouldn’t want anybody else to be treated like this.

Received E Mail from Golf Now that my booking had been cancelled on the morning that we were due to play .This was only three hours notice , phoned golf club and spoke to Profesional who was very unhelpful and told me I would have to pay an extra £11.00 each if we wanted to play.In the meantime I go back on the Golf Now website who were trying to resell the booking at an increased price this is disgusting and the Profesional was unhelpful as I couldn’t contact my playing partners .I think this is disgraceful at such short notice and the golf club couldn’t care less terrible.I hope somebody will read this at the club and respond but I doubt very much.

They've spent a lot of money redesigning this course and have a few new holes too with new fairways and greens. It is definitely not a boring course! You'll look at the yardage and think "it's too short", but take your handicap here and see how you go .... the greens are superb... some of them look like an angel, but play like a devil... go on, try them! As for the drainage, a winter of rain and 2 days of throwing it down before we played.... and it was brilliant! Hats off to the green staff and those who make decisions to invest in making the course into playing conditions like this.

Lovely local course with plenty of variation. It was in decent condition, despite lots of rain in the previous week. Some of the tees do play across other fairways, which wasn't a problem when I went because it was quiet but could be an issue if busy. Overall, would recommend.

Played lots of good courses this year, but none quite like Prestwich. A par of 68 is and I can’t recall a par 3 being SI 1 anywhere else, but this is a nice test of skill rather than brute force.

First time here so impossible to say whether the redesign is an improvement, and it needs to bed in next year. However, the greens are in good condition, the course is standing up well to wet weather, and I can only see this being a great course to play in 2021.

Thoroughly enjoyed it: will be back.

Lovely course. Unfortunately it was a very wet day which led to lots of standing water.

Fun, short course.

Wanted us to pair up with 2 others which is stupid because more chance of getting covid less mixing they better apart from that was good day

The course is in great condition, especially considering the recent weather. No boggyness or puddles, and greens were superb.

Staff in the pro shop were incredibly helpful and nice, was a really nice way to start.

Only downfalls was the course is pretty tricky to navigate from hole to hole, but they did say they were waiting on new signage for the new layout, really hoping that the new signage is for directions too.

And the only other thing was one of the greens keepers (one in the hat with a beard) for about 3 holes in the round I had to wait for him to finish mowing the fairway or close to the green before taking my shot, and on one hole as I was taking my shot he drove past me mowing maybe only 5 meters along side me. Never had that before. Was very off putting.

Other than that loved the round, other members and the staff in the shop were a delight, will 100% be coming back.
