Prestwich Golf Club

Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. The course isn’t very long but quite challenging. The pro and few members we came across were very welcoming and pointed us in the right direction on a couple of occasions on course. Good value for money and would definitely visit again.

I’ve played the course a few times now and really enjoyed it. There’s plenty of challenge without being ridiculously hard. It’s long enough without being really rough for players who don’t hit it that far. Considering the vast amount of rain lately, the course was in great shape!

I don't like to play on same courses, but I will defenetely come back to this one...this year so far niciest course I played. Not extra long but dificult greens and over all very technical...

Having played Prestwich a few times over the last 10 years, the recent course alterations & new holes have matured well and it has become a very challenging test of golf with severe greens and tight fairways. It was a joy to play here until recently where rough has been grown knee high in many areas, in front of greens & alongside the fairways, resulting in lost balls & high levels of frustration. If you are a higher handicapper I would avoid this course

Course was a tough one. Really short however there was constant doglegs, constant undulations and really tough greens. There was lots of construction work going on around the course when I visited but I guess that’s not a concern. The course was very hilly but they didn’t offer golf buggies, which was a but of a pain but not a major issue.

Wow what a hidden gem in Salford prob best greens I have ever played on some construction still happening on the course but a must course to play on

Tournament quality greens, don’t let the short yardage fool you this course presents challenges for all levels! Friendliest staff, locals and members, which is hard to come by! This is how a golf course should be. we will definitely be back

Played this course today. The course was in great condition. Short course but by no means easy. Very tight fairways and hilly. Well maintained fairways and greens. You can get round this course with no driver in your bag and still shoot a low score. Only issue I found was navigating too the next tee and a few holes, but help from green keepers and other players sorted that out. I will definitely be playing here again.

Very enjoyable course. When you’re looking for a course that’s looked after, well treated and value for money, this is it. Great set up. Yes some of the greens and tees are close together but when you’re on the course that does not matter.

Some testing holes. No wide fairways, so it’s not the easiest. But you’ll enjoy it, without a doubt.

Great compact course, even if you play terrible (like myself today) can stay conjure up some pars. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and was throughly enjoyable day.

Short course but plenty of difficulty on approaches, loads of variety and some very tough greens on new holes. Forgiving for the not too regular player and very quick pace of play. Fun round, 18th hole a highlight.

Had a great time, lost 5 balls and still had fun.

Don’t turn up thinking it’s short and easy. What it lacks in distance, it makes up for in fast greens and variation of holes. You have to think about what you’re doing.

Unlike most other courses driver is probably too much club on most holes.

I would definitely recommend.

This course may not be the longest but still challenging course condition was excellent and the locals all friendly.

Course was easy to find, just 5 mins from the M60. I really liked the layout and condition of the course and although it’s not a long course, it’s quite hilly and challenging but fair for players of limited ability like me.

Booked on line , met by welcoming staff in the clubhouse, helpful and knowledgeable , Perfect playing condition to be fair but equalled by a beautifully kept and challenging 18 holes of pure joy .A real quality round and what was really noticeable was how friendly and upbeat everybody was ,superb putting greens, a real well thought out course layout, good signage, and in all honestly cannot wait to play it all over again .I had heard mixed reviews in the lead up to booking this round, absolute nonsense and iv played em all, from Tytherington to Worsley to Wilmslow to Shrigkey Hall,! This Prestwich Course I tell you is bang on point , no doubt about it ! Well done indeed
