Prestwich Golf Club

Played for the first time Tuesday morning. Very quiet great time to play. Friendly pro and nice club shop.

Practice net facilities and putting green all In good condition.

Tee boxes, fairways and greens all nicely maintained to a decent enough standard for an average golfer and for £20.

Quite hilly but manageable for someone whose use to walking a course with a carry bag.

a number of blind holes where you can’t see the flag from the tee which not a massive fan of but was ok nonetheless. Only one par 5.

Beautiful course with a very friendly staff. Length is short vs other courses which makes it more manageable to a lower handicap player, but no less challenging. Large frustration however was the number of 4 balls ahead - I counted at least 5 groups which slowed up play drastically. Not a case of simply playing through given the numbers, so had to jump onto a different hole which cuts down my playing time. Appreciate 4 balls bring valuable green fees, but surely not at the expense of others

Once again, we thoroughly enjoyed our round. A sunny and relaxed game around a fantastic local course.

I was met with a warm welcome upon arrival. Given a rundown of the course and some of the rules. Course was well kept. Will definitely be going back.

I saw before coming here that Prestwich was tipped to be the friendliest golf club in England and it didn’t not disappoint! I am a filthy casual who has a basic grasp of golf but honestly no the staff and the members were so lovely and friendly I didn’t stop smiling all day even when I lost three balls and shot 101!!

I am going back tomorrow and I could not recommend this course and club more highly

A good test of for me (high handicapper),, good varying and interesting 18 holes, a gem close to city centre.

Great course layout , no two holes are the same ,not a long course but when you drive the green on a par 4 and have two eagle chances in one round it makes your day ( still only made par though :). )

Bloke in the pro shop really helpful as were the lads in front as it was my fist time playing round here and some of the tees cross each other

A great course. Not long but very challenging with an interesting mix of holes. Some of the holes from 6 to 15 are superb with some fantastic scenery. Great condition and a really fun round of golf.

First I must say how very nice and friendly the members were, Course was short comparriosn to what I am normally used to but great not having to get the driver out of the bag!

The green had been sanded in front of us as we played was the only disappointmnet as he seemed to be in front of us 16 of the 18 holes!

but hey the work has to be done

Did I mention how friendly the members were :)

My new favourite course in Manchester, having played at most courses in the city I loved the challenge and variety of each hole! Last hole is a cracker!
