Rossendale Golf Club

Played mid October on a sunny day after a rainy week. Fairways in good condition, greens not bad considering recent rain.

Played here 15 years ago. Evidence of improvements, half way house/toilets, improved drainage, some rest modelling of fairways(bridge etc),.

Greens were a bit fluffy but decent.

A better than average course and good value because iof it.

A well polished parkland course in great condition.

The greens ran true and its clear the players here look after their course. As Arnie would say, I'll be back.

Enjoyed playing this course for the first time. Only downside was the club house facilities for food etc were not open. However, I would recommend playing here as it is in great condition and very reasonable price. Hopefully next time I will play better!

Some great holes on the course..... real test for low handicaps. My only criticism was there aren't a lot of yardage markers... in the rough to give you a good gauge for how far away you are but all in all, really good course

Played this course for the first time today and I thought it was fantastic, I was very impressed with the condition of both the fairways and greens despite us playing in a continual downpour. It is very tricky in parts and a fairly tough test with the wind coming into play a lot as the course is very exposed to the elements. It was a snip at the price we paid and the only downside to the experience was a lack of signage when you left a green to indicate where the next is located.

Played a 4 ball with an 11am tee. Course in great nick and surprisingly quiet.

Good mix of short & long holes with ditches, ponds, and doglegs.

Greens are ok - recovering well from hot weather.

Members friendly and bar excellent - good range of beers.

We'll definitely be back.

Course was in great condition, obviously had a few issues with the greens due to the extremes in the weather over the last few months, but improving all the time.

This course is always a pleasure to play and again this time was no different, I will say the greens were very poor the sort of condition you expect to find in Winter not summer. It’s look like they have been working on them and were very patchy and hard to find any part that was not effected. Two things make this course different to me, one is having a par 3 on the first hole and having the ninth hole miles away from the clubhouse, don’t know how you would go on just playing 9 holes, you would have.a long walk back to the clubhouse. The course is well worth a visit, hopefully the greens will be sorted soon.

Played here a few weeks ago in June and the greens were superb.

Today they were patchy, slow and bobbly.

Dry Weather obviously affected the course but really disappointed in the condition of greens. Lots of bare patches making putting a bit of a lottery.

Pro very friendly and bar staff pleasant. Food was fine. Chips and cheese and pickle butty very tasty.

Great food. Green's needed a cut but given that we've played so soon after the winter we've had, they played smooth enough. Will be back a good few times this year!

Very good. once per month we have an "away day" from our club Ellesmere and Rossendale was one of our most enjoyable, couple of sloping hills but nothing too difficult, course and greens in good condition
