first time visitor
Another course visited for the first time this year. Beautiful course and a real hidden gem. Immaculately maintained with plenty of holes which aren't your everyday straight up and down. Hilly but manageable for everyone I think. The view from the 19th is well worth a shandy afterwards. I have visited a few courses in the area this year as I am travelling a little way from home to see what is out there. This rates way up there and I will definitely be coming back. Do yourself a favour and have a day out whilst the weather is good.
A perfect day at the end of May
Most places look better when the sun shines and Rossendale was in very good condition with great views all around. The first hole (par 3) is one of the most difficult on the course, unless you can regularly make the green on first bounce from 150 to 170 yards. Not really one to warm up on! After that it is open without too many places where you can get in a total mess, although there enough challenges to make it interesting. Friendly members and a helpful professional. A very enjoyable afternoon.
Lovely course
Very friendly and helpful in the shop, the course was very interesting and enjoyable to play. A few of the greens were a bit patchy but that did not distract from the overall good condition of the course. The clubhouse has a lovely position over the last green and first tee to enjoy and again the staff were very welcoming. I would not hesitate to play here again and I will do before long. I will recommend this course to anyone and will be back very soon
Great course
Played here today for first time. What a wonderful course. Variety of holes, risk and reward, opportunities to make a good score. Very good greens for the time of year and after the poor weather of recent months. Superb views. Day was topped off by both my son and I birdying the short par 4 last.
Great Views
Great course, views and staff, we were scheduled to play on the Friday however heavy rain and wind meant we came off after 4 holes. The guy in the pro shop said we could come back on the Monday to play!
Good course
Some interesting holes slightly spoilt with 5 or 6 holes which felt very much up and down and much the same
