5 Star all round
This was the first time we had played Seaham.
We would definitely go back. We arrived early and as there was a gap in other tee times we were allowed to tee off early. The guy at reception was 100% helpful giving us a heads up on the first few holes (hazards/course layout etc).
For players of our level the course was challenging but enjoyable. The greens were well kept, and the only bad thing about the day was my out of control slice!
Seaham 13/08/2020
Ball thieves operate at this course – our party had balls stolen from the fairway on two separate occasions. Course condition wasn’t good – grass cuttings were left near to and on several greens. Semi-rough [just of fairways and greens] was long and clumpy making play difficult. All player facilities were shut during our visit. I remember the Seaham course from days gone by - the club needs to have a re-think about how to get back to how things should be and how to keep unwanted visitors off the course.
Great course
Turned up and was welcomed by very friendly staff, I would go as far as the friendliest golf course I’ve been too.
The course was in great condition and the greens were near to perfect. The course can be a little challenging if you have never played here before with the steep slopes ,made it fun To be honest.
I have the club 2 stars for amenities am due to the covid 19 restrictions as I was never able to explore the rest of the club.
I would play here again and I do recommend this to anyone
Good course, we're fairly new to golf. They could do with a couple of signs to the next tee box in places.
Would recommend the course to others.
Friendly club, a gem tucked out the way
First time at Seaham, impressed with the friendliness of players and staff, couldn't have been more helpful. Course is a nice layout, beautiful vistas out to sea when up high. Quite hilly, but not overly so. Unlike some clubs, Seaham was unpretentious and welcoming, which was much appreciated. Will be back for sure.
Great course, will play again 5*****
Played this course today for the first time. Having read the reviews it seemed like it was going to be a hilly difficult course. The hills arent that bad, a few steep ones but the rest were fine. The fairways were in great condition. the greens were great and fast. Tee boxes were superb, but the rough was very rough. Challenging course but not every hole.
Late Afternoon 18
Really enjoyed my first visit to Seaham. Friendly staff and a starter to get us going. Some very tricky holes but also quite a few birdie opportunities with some short par3s. Hit it lucky with the weather which is probably why it was a slow round as course was packed. Will be back during the summer.
Great (but challenging) course
Smashing golf course which is a definite challenge. Thoroughly enjoyed the round despite the lightning fast greens. This is a hilly set-up but extremely enjoyable nevertheless. Great welcome from the starting Marshall who made sure distancing was maintained and gave some great advice for our group of visitors. Overall, excellent value for money and a course that will test most players. I'll definitely be going back
Great course.
Fantastic facility. Very friendly staff and a very good challenge. Great course can’t wait to play again.
Seaham course in march
A lot of local clubs closed as too wet but seaham played well for time of year, course is good to play with a few challenging holes .staff and members seem friendly will definitely play again.
Great day out
We arrived an hour earlier and ate a fantastic breakfast. The only thing missing was hash browns. The course was well maintained and was a pleasure to play. Will defiantly play again.
Underrated
Tip top golf club - very friendly great course vastly underrated. It's got long par5 mixed with drivable par4s and tight short par4s. We had a 4 ball of mixed handicaps and course was testing but rewarding for us all .
We will be back.
