Great course.
Really great course to play, bit of a hidden gem.
Look forward to playing here again soon.
A hidden gem
This is a great course with a bit of everything. Its tough if you're not accurate off the tee dont bother looking for your ball its almost impossible to find but always a great round here.
Round at Branshaw GC
Course not overly long, which suited us. Layout is testing without being too difficult, greens were in great condition but not too fast.
Really enjoyed our round and will definitely be back.
Branshaw
Very friendly staff and local members. Course in very good condition and buggy price was a very reasonable £20.
Scenic course
Played on a bank holiday Monday course ok but could not use the bar after because it was shut doesn't open on a Monday?.I get that during normal weeks but a bank holiday Monday I found strange
Very Poor Condition
One of the worst condition courses I’ve played in 10 years. Surprisingly bad especially as other people have recently given this course positive reviews. Most of the greens were shocking, I took pictures for proof. I appreciate we haven’t had much rain of late but the whole course was like playing on concrete. Impossible to keep a ball on the green. The last 4 holes were a little better but greens still awful. I’m a member of muni course not too far away that’s in far superior condition to this with the same weather conditions and it’s half the price too. Very disappointed!
Enjoyable day
The course was in very good condition, weather was mostly sunny but with a fair;ly strong wind.
The 2nd 9 holes provide quite a test especially when playing into the wind. It all made for an enjoyable round
3 Ball on a Sunny day.
Booked Branshaw after falling across it by coincidence and a friend saying it was a good course with excellent views…
He was not wrong.
We played a 3 ball in what was dry conditions, The course was in very good conditions, with much quicker greens than would be expected in early spring. The course layout is excellent and the greenkeeper has done a fantastic job off the fairways too. We were all very impressed with Branshaw GC and will certainly be back.
P.S. The guiness on the 19th Hole is tip top too 👍🏼🍻🍀
Beautiful course with great views
I can’t believe how good this course is for the price of the round £15-£20 for the round. Great value. Very good service to in pro shop and clubhouse.
Pleasant round. Greens beautiful and overall course in great condition. There are course around that you pay £40-£50 for and this course is much better than them and it’s only £20. Love playing here. Highly recommend anyone to this course.
Looks a nice course to play in the summer months
Today was a very cold day to play
Friendly gentleman in the pro shop
Ground staff were out working on the course can tell they look after it 👌
Will look to come back in warmer weather
Good Condition
A while since I last played Branshaw but course was in excellent condition. Superb value, just a shame about my golf! Will be back.
Branshaw on a wet and windy day
Given the recent bad weather the course and greens were in excellent condition, very enjoyable round of golf made more challenging by strong winds on the moors.
Spectacular Views
I always enjoy Branshaw it's a well maintained good test of golf not long but it doesn't need to be located as it is exposed to the wind high above Bronte country.
Some interesting holes quite a lot of blind tee shots so be accurate and be ready for the dangerous 17th it's a cracker.
Amazing Moorland Course!!
We got a 11:10am tee time from Golf Now for £15 per person (2 ball).
My friend had played Branshaw in a league match earlier in the year and for golfers who tour the county and the local district trying to get in as many courses as possible, he said he was amazed we hadn't played it sooner as in his words, it was in great condition for the time of year!
He played the course in April time so with us getting a cracking late summer's day , I knew we would be in for a treat.
If your looking for manicured fairways and tree lined holes then Branshaw isn't for you but if you want lightning fast, perfect greens, really playable holes and stunning views across the Pennines then this is the course for you.
I cannot wait to play Branshaw again.
Superb condition course.
Played this course 5 or 6 times. Highly recommend to any golfer.
Friendly people and good clubhouse. Give it a try.
don`t be fooled
not the longest course but dont be fooled! if you do not hit it straight around here you will spend the day in the heather that grabs your club, hurts your wrists and breaks your heart! it`s a gem of a heathland course that the members should be proud of, the club house was welcoming with a pre-round breakfast and pint can be had for a little more than a tenner. we travelled 60 miles to play and will be back in a heart beat
