Staining Lodge Golf Course

I live local to this golf course and during winter season over the past couple of years I’d opt to play elsewhere as the conditions were better than Staining’s. After being away from golf for some time I have booked a tee time at Staining and was pleasantly surprised on its improvements, the course conditions has vastly improved, the fairways have firmed up and are withstanding continuous play throughout the week, the greens are always firm and considerably fast. The deep rough in areas can still be a bit soft under foot but that’s understandable for the time of year. I would consider it to be the best in the area for its price range, compared to other similarly priced courses. I will be happy to play here again in the future over close by courses as I feel this course has now excelled passed it’s rival courses.

I have visited this course a few times and love it. Great staff and course in great condition. Nice driving range too.

The course is very well looked after, nice wide forgiving fairways and greens that roll true. Even though we'd recently had a good bit of rain the course looked to have drained very well. Only problem we had is one of our buggies broke down on the fourth hole. It was replaced by the man from the pro shop, but he gave us an electric buggy with only half charge which only lasted us until the 14th hole.

Front 9 not the best due to the rain and work ongoing to maintain drainage by the grounds staff, still very playable but the back 9 were perfect, not a great choice of food in the bar but was nice and smart.

Recommend this course to everyone it's in great condition and the greens so fast and true.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the only downside I found was some players not repairing the ball divots on the greens.

Certainly will be returning to play more golf there.

Course was in fantastic condition. The rough was cut right down which helped with them wayward shots . Greens were in top condition as always . Love playing here . We travel from Liverpool to play .

Great course the greens are in superb condition. Freindly staff good amenities.

Relaxed enjoyable course some testing holes and some nice views.
