Played here for the second time, you honestly cannot fault the friendliness of all the staff . The Pro was great thanks Mark. Greens had been dressed and I am sure in a week or two will be exceptional.

We will definitely return again, great layout and a good test of your golf game .

Only thing that spoilt the round was the dire weather on the last 4 holes. Due to Covid No facilities where open. We would definitely play the course again hopefully in better weather

Played a round today

Got there and was told I needed a plain shirt with collar to play ?? They said this was stated on website ?? But it’s not on golfnows site , so kind of deceptive if it’s not on the booking site they use. No point having the info on there site when it’s not on the booking site they use ???

Members behind me were rushing even though I was waiting for the pair in front, golf is a leisurely sport and if your in a rush play something else , to me they were just plain rude

Shame because the course was lovely and also challenging

But won’t be going back again because of the reasons listed above

Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. There were some tricky blind holes from which the benefit of hindsight would have been appreciated. Never quite knew where your hall would end up! Interesting features like ravines to cross, dog legs, some narrow fairways and up/down hill lies all adding to the fun. The greens were in superb condition. Played during covid hence unable to rate off course facilities. Will definitely return.

Hilly course with challenging holes, index 1 in particular. Greens in great condition and dec ent weather for a change. Highly recommended.

Some very challenging holes, course in great condition, very enjoyable round, highly recommended.

Really nice course and brilliant condition but if it’s your first time like it was ours the front 6 holes are really hard blind holes hard to work out your distance we got a bargain for £10 but won’t be playing it again far to hilly.

Good variety of holes, some very challenging. Greens almost there now after the cold spell, still a little fluffy. Very enjoyable round at a friendly club.

Course condition fantastic for this time of the year. Greens very fast. Very enjoyable round and food in clubhouse was great.

Cold on the front nine, very wet on the back nine, but it it February so you’ve just to get on with it. The course was in great condition, only two temp greens, and is a challenge on many holes, especially the index1 second. Very friendly and accommodating staff and members, terrific place.

Had a great round of golf at Stamford. Lots of interesting holes where accuracy is a must. Course in great condition, very undulating but not too hard on the legs. Very recommended.

Very good little course played on a very rainy day but the course held up well all greens were very playable and good condition

Slight problems booked a tee time for 7am but no one was there to check so couldn't get a card which resulted in not knowing were a couple of holes were and a couple of unsure greens but apart from that overall a good day would like to go on a nice day to compare

Challenging course with little room for error. Always enjoyable to play this course. Will keep you fit, several steep holes to climb but stunning views once get there

Played this course several times now and enjoy the challenge of it. Very hilly but worth it for the views. Staff and club members very friendly and helpful, happy to answer any question you may have. Course well maintained. Would recommend the course.

This course would not suit a person who is old or poor on their legs. My 55 yr old brother really struggled around here due to every hole having an incline of note. I feel there should be more on the website telling people that it is a hard walk, not just saying that it has "Gentle slopes" But what a course, I loved it and will be coming back.
