Stand Golf Club

Greens, fairways and tee boxes in excellent condition as good as any top course. Was disappointed with the lay out of some of the holes. Lots of blind tee offs and dog legs and not very clear where to play your ball. No map on the tee boxes or scorecard. Added to this there are a lot of holes that are not very forgiving and some very tough tee shots with no margin for error left or right. Ifyour a low handicapper this course will be made for you. Maybe if I played it again knowing the layout might be a bit easier. Unfortunately with that many top courses around might no get round to it.

Course was in excellent condition greens were 1st class .reasonably hilly in parts

Fantastic course, very challenging on a windy wet day but very enjoyable with some tricky holes. Hidden gem greens run true and the pro was very helpful and friendly in the shop. Booking again for sure

Absolutely Outstanding, can't rate it highly enough, has everything you want, undulating fairways, fast greens, well maintained, fairways, greens immaculate. Trust me you won't be disappointed if you play here.

You won't find a course in better condition or as well looked after.

It's hilly , it's long and fast.

Lots of feet above and below ball stuff , driver need to be long and accurate.

It's a challenge physically and technically particularly for the very high handicapper who's in mis 60 's.

Course in great condition , will be back.

When we turned into the housing estate never did we expect to find the beautiful golf course. Very cleverly laid out using every inch of ground available lots of great dog legs, lots of hills slopes. You don’t have to be a big hitter but you have to be straight. Greens were fantastic. The pro could not be more helpful. Can’t wait to play again with the course knowledge I have now.

Gem of a course that’s in fantastic shape. Not a long course buts it’s defence is the bumps and hills & the need to be accurate off the tee.. All the greens are well kept and true . Unbelievable value for money. Staff & members All very friendly - will definitely be back .

First time playing Stand golf course and wasn't disappointed.Greeted in the pro shop with a warm welcome,got off on time,the condition of the very undulating course was excellent.Pace of play was good but nobody was rushing as it was the hottest day of the year 30°.all in all would strongly recommend.

Did not know Only 9 holes open thought expensive be careful ring the club before booking.no refund given.

When 18 open top course

A course that is out there with the best in the area and value for money most definitely some difficulty and some energy sapping holes thoroughly enjoyed my round booked again for tomorrow we'll worth a visit at £22

Played today weather not the best but what a gem of a course..

Not played Stand for a few years, had forgotten how good it was. Some trees and bushes have been trimmed back to make it a bit more tolerant. Very cold day but the course was in excellent condition,greens were faster than expected after the recent weather. Very recommended.

Always a top course to play.

Firstly the practice facilities are excellent, there is two practice nets, a putting green and a chipping green. The tees on the course were excellent and many offered great views of the surrounding area. The fairways and semi-rough were in great condition and there was thicker rough to catch the stray shot. No two holes were the same with underrating fairways and large dips in many. the greens were again excellent. A small issue is that there were only 2 Par 3's and the bunkers needed more sand as they were too hard. But other than that a very enjoyable round on a beautiful course.
