Surrey National Golf Club

First time at this course. What a beauty! Really enjoyed the course and hope to return. The chap in the Pro Shop was very helpful and gave us some tips. There weren't any ladies items in the shop - but I understand that there aren't many lady members. The gentlemen on the course were very pleasant, and let us play through.

The greens were challenging with interesting curves to manoeuvre. Yep, lost a couple of balls in the water!

We were blessed with stunning sunshine, the greens and fairways were perfectly kept. Very impressed and will return with my husband at some point.

Every hole is unique, very hilly, nice open fairways so playable and interesting for all levels.

A very enjoyable four-ball on a perfect summer's day. The holes do encroach on each other, so there a more shouts of "fore!" than I'm used to, but the fairways and greens were well looked after and the rough was more than manageable. Will definitely play again when back in Surrey.

Course was in fantastic condition, the layout was great, greens true, albeit needing a cut therefore a little slow. Fairways impeccable! One of the best courses we've played in the last few months (considering we've played 8 different courses already this month)

Unfortunately, when we booked I was notified that if we were to book as a 2 or 3 then we would be paired up with others. Wish the club actually enforced that rule, we had 2 x 2 balls in front of us (surely they should have been made to make up a 4 ball), we were waiting on tee boxes, 4,5,6,9,11,12,13,15,17 & 18 for over 6mins to tee off. We had to endure a 5hr 47min round. We had 2 x 3 balls.and we had 2 x 4 balls behind us waiting as well.

An absolute treat to play .It's a course worth playing a few times as it challenging from every tee box ..

Course was in great condition. Greens were recovering from work but still true. Such a fair challenging course at a very reasonable price

We weren’t told the greens would be spiked but still had to pay the full price green fee. The greens were terrible.

A shame, because we’ve played this course a couple times now and we like it otherwise

Played here on a Sunday afternoon, varied course, quite open, but definitely need to play the course more than once to pick the lines, some cracking holes, it can play long on some holes due to the undulations.

We both really enjoyed the experience here, friendly staff working in the pro shop, picked up some shirts, test of skill out on the course, sometimes even on drives, approaches and the big greens .

Minor erks ....bunkers need sorting out, so stony in some, lack of sand. It is busy around holes 3 to 5 due to walkers and people from the local houses on the course, around the pond! Lots of litter from people fishing too, that we picked up....

I would love to play again soon as some of the bounces I got were wild!

If you're playing here, you'll cover some floors with the slopes and more..... recommended you play it once, it would suit even the higher handicap player.....but please be decent and rake the bunkers, repair your pitch marks and replace divots, as I seem to be currently doing loads more than my own on every course I play! Where's the pride gone!

Surrey National is a wide open course with wonderful fairways and beautifully maintained greens. Having moved South Africa it’s the best course I’ve played in the UK!

Course was in great condition and was an interesting round with different tests.

Pace felt really slow for a Sunday afternoon.

Despite the unpredictable English weather, the course is currently in excellent condition (in June 2024), so would recommend playing there now.

A friend had booked a 4-ball (including myself) here through GolfNow. Due to an unforeseen flare up of a long-term knee problem I was having mobility issues and couldn’t play. I called the course who told me to ask GolfNow, who said they would refund my green fee depending on what the course said. The course then said no. I then called up the course to ask why, to which they referenced their 7-day cancellation policy. I explained that my friend’s booking would continue as a 3-ball, I would just like my £55 green fee returned. They still refused. Pretty pathetic and shoddy stuff from a course that describes itself as “welcoming” and “first class.”

Omg what a course ok the sun was out but the course was fabulous good value for money got chatting to a few members who where very friendly maybe cause we let them threw as we was a bit slow not knowing the course could poss do with a few more signs on where to go and better hole signs but found the corse and set up on the whole very good
