Plenty of interest on the course, great greens and really friendly staff and members.

Nice quiet afternoon round at Tankersley- our first time. Super friendly reception from the shop Manager with advice on greens. Really picturesque course, and nice wide fairways. Ground was hard, but no surprise as we’ve had no rain. The greens were immaculate, and challenging at times.

Quality course - defo playing again.

Overall a very enjoyable day at Tankersley. Greens were in excellent condition and a lot of the rough and trouble I had the last time I visited has been taken out, making the course much more playable for the higher handicap golfer. My only slight gripe was the number of members that crept in front of us on the 13th tee (near to the club house) that turned a very nicely paced round into a bit of a slog for the last few holes.

I’ve been waiting a long time to visit Tankesley and ti be fair it didn’t disappoint,

The greens were a little slow for this time of year, Also a lot of the fairways have been scorched with the good weather,

Staff very friendly couldn’t have asked for more for my first and definitely not my last visit.

Good course layout pin positioning good not too easy a good challenge for all golfer’s

The course was in great condition considering the amount of rain that’s been hitting South Yorkshire, I was very surprised how dry it was. The greens had been tined and top dressed (very recently) but were still pretty good, a couple were a bit longer and bobbly but it was £20 each so was worth every penny. It’s a very friendly place as well, everybody says hello and the pro was a lovely bloke. We (two ball) played at 13.45 on a Monday afternoon and were round for 16.30. We have played here a few times so know our way around but we never expected to be as quick.

I’d definitely recommend TPGC.

Everything about this course was top notch. The greens were quick but consistent. The fairways first class and the rough was quite the deterrent against wayward drives. All topped off with a beer on the balcony. Will definitely return soon.

Not the easiest course to play with some really narrow gateways but it’s in amazing condition & some stunning holes! Only played once before in winter conditions but will definitely play again, really enjoyed the round

First time playing the course despite living quite close to it. It’s a brilliant test for all levels course was in top condition. The only downside was the pace of play it was busy and we were stood about a bit on the par 3s. But we were prepared for it to to be busy when we saw the cars in car park.
