Tankersley Park Golf Club

The winter we’ve had has left most courses in an unplayable condition especially that side of Sheffield, but as things are on the up Tankersley has got it in great condition ready for hopefully a good summer’s golf.

Just one temp on the short par 3 third, a usual temp for winter golf. Greens were great, a few tee boxes open and those that aren’t are played on great winter matts

For £20-£25 these days you won’t find many in better condition

First time playing Tankersley and we'll definitely be back. For November the course was in great condition and whilst we were using mats for tees, the quality of those didn't take anything away from the round. Everyone was friendly and the round was great value.

Played today for the first time and what can I say?? Absolutely stunning course well looked after the holes are great and each hole is fantastic!!! If you haven't played here get yourself there and get a round in you won't be disappointed I will be definitely going again. The sun was shining which made it perfect

Played more than a few times at Tankersley and it never disappoints. From chances to have a big whack of the driver to some really technically challenging holes, this course will give every level of golfer a test.

The greens were its defence on the day playing super fast!

Dropped on with a cheap buggy as well at only £12 on the day.

Only negative Tankersley has is that there’s only one par 5, but some really fun par 4’s and 3’s make up for that. 13th back down to the clubhouse my particular favourite

First time playing this course and what a lovely course it is .the course was-in fantastic condition.the greens got to be the best I’ve played on.good test of golf .will definitely play again .made very welcome by everyone. Very friendly.

This was a last minute tea-time booking for a course, I haven’t played in years.

Beautifully manicured is an understatement.

Pace a little slow to begin with, and a members’ three ball invited me through, but would have been no point in doing so, as it was busy ahead of them.

7th hole arrived, the three ball and the game in front of them left, and all of a sudden, it was millionaire’s golf.

Gone is the punishingly long rough of yesteryear (unless you venture wildly off course).

I’ll definitely be paying another visit before too long.

The course was in great condition the tee’s fairways and greens were as good as I’ve played this year. Some really fantastic looking holes. I would recommend a visit to golfers irrespective of their handicap.. we were made to feel welcome by both staff and members.

Tankersley Park exceeded my expectations. A great golf course a few miles north of Sheffield. The layout and routing are excellent, and at a certain point gets close to the M1, not that you notice other than the distant sound of vehicles on a few tees and greens. The greens on the day I played were exceptional, so credit to the greenkeeping staff. I would certainly play this course again at the earliest opportunity. Not the easiest course, but certainly very enjoyable.

Never played the course before was in fantastic condition some tough holes very challenging, we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

What an amazing course. Not easy but very rewarding. Members were extremely friendly and the Captain introduced himself and made me feel extremely welcome. Will definitely be returning soon.

Course was brilliant and it awesome condition. The greens are pure and quick. A few holes are far too long for most amateurs which is the only downside. A couple par 4s could be par 5s

Considering the weather and the state that most courses are in around the Yorkshire area Got to tip the cap to the green keeper of this course

Great course overall, played in March when everywhere is quite boggy - Tankersley staff clearly look after their course, was in great condition, especially for winter!
