Tynemouth Golf Club

I haven’t played here in over ten years cracking little course the wind was blowing a hoolie which made it quite a challenging day, greens were in good condition, look forward to playing here again hopefully a little less windy

If you aren’t a member, then they won’t like you, stuck up and it’s members like this that give golf a bad name. Avoid this place like the plague if you don’t have a posh accent.

Course in great condition, such a different game playing in summer.

Booked to play with my son who has re located to Tynemouth booked in with a very friendly chap in the pro shop and spoke with several members around the putting green who were again friendly. The course was presented beautifully and the greens very true some very interesting holes and a typically good James Braid classic course will definitely be returning soon great course

In really good condition, the day was windy but it's a coastal course so occasionally that happens. Always friendly and pace of play on a busy day was good.

Course in very good condition albeit greens a bit slow compared to what I am used to in my home Club.

Staff very friendly both in Proshop and Clubhouse so we really enjoyed our visit.

Not having played this course for decades, it was difficult to remember but it all came back after a few holes. We didn't mark a card, we just played what we thought was right and compared our play. Pleasantly surprised on how good it is and we are certain to return before very long. Staff and fellow player were very helpful and friendly. I would seriously recommend this course.

Lovely course in great condition and everyone very friendly.

Just played Tynemouth in a twilight round. The greens are in great condition for early spring, rolling very true although naturally slower. The work the groundskeepers have done riveting the bunkers is incredible. New sand too. Unfortunately I tested more of them than I would have liked!

Really friendly and helpful staff at the pro shop. Course in really good condition considering the time of the year and lack of warm weather. Good pace of play. All in all, very good.

What we liked:

Clean car park. Plenty parking spaces.

Pro shop well stocked. My partner treated himself to the latest Callaway driver, Mavrik. Pro very friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Course is in excellent condition despite winter season. Tee beds cuts, fairways hollow tined and not muddy. Greens to next tee are well signed posted. Fairways are very wide and open. Bunkers are well maintained—lots of sand in it. We had the option to tee up throughout from tee to greens or to use mats (we used a mat) to protect the soft fairways. The only very slight dissatisfaction was the greens need rolling but still ok speed wise. Off the course there were brush and air blower with excellent pressure to clean trolleys and shoes. Toilet and locker room very clean.

It is a very relaxing and enjoyable course to play.

Fairways are generous and semi rough quite forgiving making for an enjoyable round.

Greens were a little slow but it had been a wet week. Greens were in great condition and all ran very true.

Overall a good track and great value for money.
