Great course for beginners

First time played. Course in good condition even though winter greens. Holes straightforward. Not a difficult course. Couple of undulating holes make it interesting. Friendly staff. Nice clubhouse. Food and drinks available. Will play again.

Extremely good

It's a couple of years since I last played here and the condition of the course is certainly much improved. Fairways were very good and the greens near perfect. The course suits my eye and has a nice layout with a few challenging holes and strategic placement of some bunkers. The course was busy due to lovely weather and took the 3 of us over 4 hours to complete due to numbers on course. I'm local so will certainly return soon. Even thinking about membership.....

Great round of golf

This is a great course, I had a excellent day. Fairways and greens were in really good condition, all the staff were very friendly. Some older players may find it a struggle on a few holes as there is a few steep ravines in places but buggies are available for hire.

good golf on a saturday evening

A lovely flat course with a burn (Valley) running through which you have to play across several times which in turn gives the course its difficulty. A very well laid out course with Excellent Greens and some long holes considering its location. I started playing at 6.30pm and the course was virtually empty.Great.

A well layered course but on the day the greens were a let down, But this was probably due to recent remedial works. Staff and facilities very good. Lot of similarity with the holes and couldn't really say there was a 'signature' one but overall a pleasant experience and would definitely enjoy a further visit

Slow but enjoyable

Course was in ok condition only paid £13 so definitely worth it for that price, took us 4hrs and 15mins for a 3 ball which wasn't ideal but it was a nice day.

Bar staff were friendly and not badly priced for a pint.

if u can get it for around the £15 mark u won't b disappointed

Lovely Round of Golf

The course was in lovely condition with well manicured fairways and well kept greens. Nice clubhouse with friendly staff. The first 9 was a bit slow but once the offending 3 ball left the course things quickened up a lot. Perfect weather helped make it a great round of golf

Spring has sprung!

Well, Tynemouth may not be the longest or the most difficult- but playing alongside a modest player, what a joy it is. No restrictions in March- trolley for the old man- playing off fairways for the first time in months. Course conditions really good - firm fairways and nippy greens. The only place it felt like winter were the occasional bunker looked moist. Quiet out in front so able to play at our own pace. But the best bit? The friendliness of the lady in the shop. I'd forgotten what tynesiders are like.
