Whitley Bay Golf Club

Friendly staff allowed me play early than my booked tee time! Course in good nick with both fairways and greens in good condition. Great challenge of golf needing good placement if your shot.

Great course like an inland links great condition for time of year well worth a visit

I lived beside the old 18 Green 70 years ago, too young to play but old enough to find golf balls, and sledge on the course when snow fell. It was nice to be able to play the course, in excellent condition with some trivky hokrs

Really enjoyed playing Whitley bay. The course was in great condition and had some challenging holes to keep you thinking. All in all great evening of golf.

Great course, tee boxes, greens. The weather conditions had made the fairways rock hard, it was like playing off a driving range mat

One of the best courses in the north east in my opinion.

Each hole is unique, mostly with mounds both sides of the fairways and raised tee boxes

Do not play for the standard fee of £40+ pounds. Just isn't worth it. Very average course and there is so many better ones in the North East for less money.

I've played on courses all over Britain. Even a top course in France. Whitley Bay is in my top 5 courses even although it was winter tee offs and played off a matt from the fairways. I will definitely play the course sometime in the summer.

3 of us played on Sunday lunchtime. 3.5hours of great fun on a links style but parkland course. Friendly welcome and bar. Good greens and forgiving fairways. We'll play again if up here.

If you have not played here then it’s time you had. The course is in brilliant condition with some superb holes. Really enjoyed the round and looking forward to going back.

Course was in excellent condition, though the greens were slow due to recent sanding. We were a two ball paired with another two ball, Neil and Dave.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first knock around this beautiful course. Got paired up with some guys on a north east golf tour and despite having the option to go at it alone I’m so glad I didn’t. Will 100% be back to play this course again and having played the likes of slaley hall and close house I would say this is the best I’ve played in the area and the north east (with the exception of Rockliffe Hall)

The views of the surroundings enhances the golfing experience. Elevation changes, trees, shrubs and water hazards are a visual delight. The general state of the course was excellent, and it will be a must-visit when we return on our next trip to the area.

Really nice course. Fantastically presented, tees, greens, walkways excellent. All holes have their own unique identity. You need to be pretty straight off the tee, and plot your way around, it's not all about length.
