Really great day here, friendly and welcoming. Course in lovely condition.

Having been a member of denton for years we decided to try more clubs in the Northwest second on the list was Walmersley which did not disapoint .we arrived an hour before our tee time and were already blown away by the views the course was in excellent condition and we encountered quite a few greenkeepers who were very respectful and always waited for us to play through . The course has alot of quirky holes and even when they are short par 4's a dogleg or other hazards make them challenging. The staff were all very welcoming and took time out to have a chat in the bar after we will definitely return to this great course which really is a hidden gem it is hilly but not steep (blowing hard ) kind of hilly the 14th was a beautiful hole thank you for a great day it was excellent value for money .👍⛳️

Played a lot of golf around Manchester, Bolton, Bury and Oldham over many years. Never knew this course existed. Hidden away in the hills with views to die for on a clear day.

Course was in great condition and most fairways are generous in size. For me the par 3 14th hole was the feature hole.

Staff in the pro shop where cheery and the steward couldn't do enough for us after the round.

We will be back and telling others to visit.

Hidden gem of a course with great views, tough holes and very hospitable

Tucked away in the hills above Bury and enjoying fabulous views, the course was in great condition. A variety of testing and interesting holes starting with a long downhill Par 3 to start with. Friendly pro and bar staff and an excellent pint and sandwich to finish with. Defo worth a trip out.

A great course, providing brilliant value for money.. really enjoyed playing this course. Some good challenges and plenty of scoring opportunities. Course has a great look and is in top condition..

Played this course in winter and it held up really well, so we wanted to come back in the summer and give it another try. It didn't disappoint, absolutely superb condition of the course considering the weather conditions over the recent months. We will be back again in the future

A very hilly course but a great challenge if you are up for the walk. Some course knowledge or app is required as there are a lot of blind shots.

Lovely views but a little too hilly to play often. Greens were in good condition.

Great value in the clubhouse afterwards and the home made sausage rolls and deserts were amazing. So good I took some home for the mrs!

Superb course defo worth the 40 minutes drive. Greens in very superb nick and defo a hidden gem just of the beaten track. Will be returning

Hard but fair and challenging.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to this challenging but really well kept course. Highly recommended but check the weather - it’s very tough on a windy day 😁💨 We received a very friendly reception in the pro shop and Deb was on hand to make a bacon butty - what’s not to like!?

Good course layout, hilly, friendly staff (although a fairway mat is rather expensive) use fairway mats is required, all greens on some are fast and some with good pace. Was caught in the middle of a competition at hole 12 and had to let them play through as we weren't having the best day. Wish I would have known yet didn't find out until the competitors where right up our backside.....overall brilliant and bouncy fairways which is nice. Definitely worth getting a buggy.

Lovely course, friendly staff from Pro to ground staff. Last minute decision to play so booked for 10am. A few others on the course but no bunching or delays. Some areas were a bit boggy and had to miss out on the 2nd green as staff were busy clearing all the leaves which in my opinion takes priority for the benefit of everyone. The rest of the greens were well tendered and with the sun out and no breeze made for a relaxed round even though hole 4 caught me out (again)..

Other golfers were all polite, courteous and keen to share knowledge. A little hilly on hole 12 but the views at the end of hole 10 and where hole 17 tees off from were the reward..

If it wasn’t for my knee and a few wayward drives it would have been almost the perfect autumn round..

Cannot comment this time on the post game facilities but have enjoyed a ‘shandy’ previously.. I intend to return especially since hole 4 owes me…. Enjoy 👍

Great course for time of year well looked after. Easy to navigate, highly recommend and will return in the summer.

A good mornings half a round for two amateurs. Played once before so layout better understood this time round. Good course friendly members and Pro, with excellent views across the valley.

Would recommend this to anyone starting out as it has a good variety of challenges along the way.
