Layout is varied , challenging but fair AND THE BEST GREENS I’VE EVER PLAYED ON . AND , the 5 FINISHING HOLES across the road are such a bonus .

Played here on way back from a trip to the open and it was truly a stunning course. Views are awesome and the course was challenging, tight in places and with lots of blind tee shots.

The last 5 holes are the best closing 5 holes I’ve ever played., anywhere. Worth the trip?

The best greens I’ve putted on anywhere - amazing greens - true & fast ( no pitch marks ! ) one green color - and in the middle of a dry hot spell of weather . Great layout also . I love the final 5 holes across the road . Here on holiday for a couple of weeks - will play it another 2 or 3 times .

The course was in excellent condition apart from the bunkers which definitely required to have new sand installed . The sand in them is hard compacted with small peebles it’s ok for fairway bunkers but the green side bunkers are too difficult to play out of because of their lack of good quality sand

Was good course, but can’t help but complain about the bunkers. Hardly any sand in so was difficult to get out. I did see some new sand at the clubhouse so they looking too improve them, fair play. Would play again though ⛳️

Have played here several times but on this occasion, the course was in magnificent condition!

The greens were immaculate and ran true and the tee boxes looked like we were in a tournament!

We had probably the best weather of the year to date also.

Played this course just a few weeks ago and just had to come back. Stunning views. A couple of holes are a bit close together but sight lines are good. We will return.

Played on a sunny, warm day which always helps.

Tightly packed in which does make for some shots close to or crossing by other holes.

Fairways were showing signs of stress after a long dry spell but greens were rolling straight & true.

Views over Tynemouth and along the coast are spectacular.

Will be back soon for a second round.

Booked last minute, tee off was on time. Greens really good, thoroughly enjoyed it.

First time I've played at Whitburn, weather wasn't great but what a brilliant course, highlight is the back 6 and the 18th tee box

Having played this course in good weather and enjoyed it I thought I would try on winter conditions but it was in terrible condition.

There was about 7-8 winter greens on and the last 5 holes where water logged and in terrible condition I know this was due to the bad weather that had battered the coast the previous week but I was not told about the terrible temporary greens before I played are the terrible condition the course was in.

I do recommend this course however in the summer months although the lay out is not great with holes cross crossing each other I’m surprised no one has been hurt on this course.

Rude and not friendly members, we were approached twice off 2 separate groups and asked if we were visiting and pointed out course rules about trolleis which was not mentioned before play and not stated anywhere on course would not recommend much better courses to play in the area .
