Whitburn Golf Club

Played on a sunny, warm day which always helps.

Tightly packed in which does make for some shots close to or crossing by other holes.

Fairways were showing signs of stress after a long dry spell but greens were rolling straight & true.

Views over Tynemouth and along the coast are spectacular.

Will be back soon for a second round.

Booked last minute, tee off was on time. Greens really good, thoroughly enjoyed it.

First time I've played at Whitburn, weather wasn't great but what a brilliant course, highlight is the back 6 and the 18th tee box

Having played this course in good weather and enjoyed it I thought I would try on winter conditions but it was in terrible condition.

There was about 7-8 winter greens on and the last 5 holes where water logged and in terrible condition I know this was due to the bad weather that had battered the coast the previous week but I was not told about the terrible temporary greens before I played are the terrible condition the course was in.

I do recommend this course however in the summer months although the lay out is not great with holes cross crossing each other I’m surprised no one has been hurt on this course.

Rude and not friendly members, we were approached twice off 2 separate groups and asked if we were visiting and pointed out course rules about trolleis which was not mentioned before play and not stated anywhere on course would not recommend much better courses to play in the area .

The course was in good condition. Greens were great for time of year. Fairways playable and dry. Great option for winter golf when a lot of courses are suffering in wet conditions. Will return. Weather permitting.

Lived up to it’s reputation for being in great condition even after rain over weekend. Greens were in great condition. Fairways playable. Good option if you’re looking for winter golf.

Thanks to Whitburn golf club we had a fabulous day from start to finish. Nice friendly welcome from the pro, great course with stunning views & friendly atmosphere in clubhouse afterwards.

I have played this course twice and both times I really enjoyed it. The second time it was a much harder challenge because of the wind . The course was in great condition, greens good . The only thing I found that I could say needs improving is the signage for the holes because on one occasion we actually played to the wrong green but other than that really enjoyed it.

Course in great condition, very surprising after the amount of rain we had yesterday. Greens in great shape, still quite fast and great challenge. Fairways not waterlogged at all. Was very busy but not too many waits at tee boxes. Overall enjoyed the round and will be back.
