the course was in poor condition the fairways were far too long it was like playing out the ruff all the time, the greens were scared with bare patches on at least 4 of them. its true what they say you get what you pay for. this course would be suited more towards people who are just starting out in golf rather than the keen golfer
An under rated course that will test golfers at all abilities
I've played Woodhall several times. It's a good course with a great mix of holes. Suitable for any handicap. Golfers of all levels will enjoy it here. When we played the course was in good condition. Greens coming round a little fluffy waiting for their first cut but ran true. Pro is friendly with a good sense of humour. There is a nice bar area in the 19th where you can enjoy a beer and sit outside or get something to eat.
Lovely interesting course except for the greens.
I played at Woodhall Hills with my son yesterday (5th May). It was sunny but very windy which made the course even more challenging than it usually is. We both really like Woodhall and I am thinking of joining the club. The only thing spoiling the day was the greens which were shocking, unfortunately, with the 'old holes' being filled extremely unprofessionally and very uneven surfaces in general. Other than that, though, it is super and this may only be a temporary problem. They were much better last time we played there although that was last summer.
woodhall hills
played on the 09/10/16 fairways and bunkers were in a good condition but sadly the greens were very poor been spiked sand put on them as well very bobbly hard to get a read and get your put on line its normally a very good course to play i would try it in the summer for all those that have not played this course before, its a challenging course for all levels just needs a little tlc over the winter
Difficult to understand where this review comes from I played this course on the same day and it was in excellent condition, fairways cut short, good definition to first cut semi and rough and fantastic smooth and true greens, in all a very enjoyable round of golf and I am on this site now looking at tee times in the coming week to book to play the course again.
