Great new course
This is a great addition to the Lakewood Ranch area. Greens were in great shape and the course was beautiful and challenging. Will definitely be adding this to my short list of regular courses I play.

worth the drive
we drove an hour to play here & it was well worth it. generous fairways,nice greens & well manicured. holes are spread out from green to next tee box. $32 for 18 holes with cart can't be beat. had a wonderful lunch afterward at the clubhouse/pool /outside bar area. good food at decent prices. there is an excellent practice facility also.

Would have been better if it didn't rain 10 inches the week before so considering that it was great.

Great place except ....
Except that their breakfast is not served until 11am .... so if you play early, do pick up somehting on the way to the course. Other than that, this is a great place to play before they turn into real exclusive club for members.

Fun Course
Green aeration was almost back to normal and a few small bumps results. Otherwise course was in excellent condition.
Generally wide fairways make it easy off the tee but the par 5's tend to get very narrow on the second shot.
Excellent practice area...and balls are still free...hurrah!
Greens are undulating but fair.

solid course
Overall the course is fairly wide open and none of the houses built around the course really come into play. I was a little disappointed with the condition and speed of the greens, but given the time of year, my expectations were probably a little too high.

One of the best courses in Tampa/Sarasota area.
Beautiful layout, exceptionally well maintained fairways and greens, fast true-roll putting surfaces, with well maintained sand traps and bunkers. Best practice facility I have seen in FL. My favorite course!

Aerification
Disappointed that the entire course had been aerified, yet still charged full price. Fairways and around the greens, and of course the greens were in poor condition.
Dear Phillyphanatic,
Golf course aerification is a necessary maintenance practice that we do 3 times a year at Esplanade to ensure the fantastic playing conditions year-round that we provide. Because of the unfavorable playing conditions directly after the maintenance is complete, we advise all golfers ahead of time of the playing conditions so that everyone is aware and can plan accordingly. Please give me a call at your convenience as I would like to get you back when the course has recovered from the aerification as you will be thoroughly impressed.

Great Shape
Course is immaculate. The greens rolled well. This course is pretty wide open and you can score well. The only issue is that they need a tee box between the tips and the next box. You either play 6100 or 6700. The new tiki bar makes this place feel like a resort. The is probably top 3 public course in 30 mile radius.

I love this place!
Always in great condition... Only reason I gave 4 stars to the conditions was the course had been plugged recently... Outside staff was terrific as well as beverage cart personnel.

Play This Course!
3rd time on this course. First time since mid 2015. The course is maturing nicely. Practice facilities are exceptional and range balls are included in the price. The layout of the course is great. My only complaint is the the fairways are very hard and cut extremely close. Would like a little grass under my ball. Greens were in great shape, fast and true. Pace of play was a bit slow but only because a threesome of knuckleheads in front of our twosome that would not let us through. Would have cut at least 45 minutes off our round. The first thing you need to learn about playing golf is etiquette. I highly recommend this course. I just love it!

Enjoyed the Course!
We really enjoyed the round but I can't understand the constant hand out from the staff for tips. We tipped when the clubs were loaded but when we didn't tip after we unloaded our own clubs one of the gentleman thru his arms up in disgust because he wasn't tipped for doing anything. The snack bar automatically charges 18% on everything.

Wonderful course
First time playing this course, but we will be back when we visit next year. Very fair layout with generous fairways and not overly long. Condition of the course was superb. Only thing I would have liked is for the superintendent to not put so many pins inside of 10" of the edge of very large greens. Greens were very true, and I did not find overly fast as mentioned in other reviews. The starter was very helpful and the marshals actually paid attention to what was going on on the course. One of the best in Sarasota/Bradenton area.
