Potomac Shores Golf Club

The Zoysia grass was dormant in the fairways but like most Zoysia courses, it's nearly impossible to get a bad lie. The greens were a bit inconsistent for holding shots. Some of my well struck shots held, others didn't. For some strange reason the club owners have changed the starting and finishing holes since the last time I played the course (about 3 years ago). The starting hole is now half a mile from the club house and the same for the finishing hole. What used to be the 18th hole is now the 16th hole and what used to be the 1st hole is now the 17th hole. This is something I wasn't expecting and was disappointing. Otherwise, it was a nice experience.

Scored a great hot deal at Potomac Shores and the course was in great shape. Course conditions were exceptional. The best fairways in the area. Greens recently aerated but still rolled true and fast. Definitely will be back in the future. Great layout to test your game. Short par 4’s, long par 4’s, longer par 3’s, shorter par 3’s. Elevated tee boxes and Challenging but forgiving course. Professional staff, and great food at the clubhouse. Definitely one of the top courses in the NOVA area.

Always a good course to play. Just was not informed that the greens had recently been areated.

Course was in great shape, worth the money. Difficult and very sloped course, extremely fun. Highly suggest bringing more balls than normal!

Overall a nice layout. Rolling hills with lots of elevation changes. Greens and fairways were in good shape but the green surrounds were in very rough condition. Lots of bare spots and weeds. Not anything that can be remedied in a short amount of time.

This course is perfect. Tee boxes,fairways and greens are in excellent condition. I will play this course again when I’m driving up north again.

Played on a Tuesday morning with two other guys. Pace of play was excellent. We never saw another group and finished in under 4 hours. Course was in excellent condition. Greens were quick and rolling well. Odd routing doesn't bring you back by the clubhouse until after #16. Drinking water is only available at the two on-course bathrooms so bring extra water.

I recommend this course and play with my friends again

course is tough and great condition, staff and lack of amenities makes it not worth it. slow play and no food or drink. skip it

Didn’t play well at all but this place is fantastic, I’ll be back as soon as my game improves!
