Beautiful course
This course will make you think before each shot and I love that. Not simply grip it and rip here. A couple of the greens had repaired spots but fortunately they didn’t come into play for me. They are fast and roll true throughout the course.
Other than that, this course is in great shape.
I will definitely be playing here more often.

Staff were very unprofessional!
Called ahead of booking to ensure greens would not be under maintenance. Arrived to find greens looked like it had snowed due to the amount of sand on them. Pro shop response was they are not that bad really. Was then told that one par 5 was closed due to heavy rain...just skip it and take a par. His response was that we were the first person in 3 weeks to complain about the hole closure.
I mentioned the greens issue to the staff person out by the carts. Same response as in pro shop. Then said would you not be annoyed if you called ahead to ensure greens were in good order and then found them having just been heavily top dressed with sand? Response was go play somewhere else if you don’t like it. I responded with... what kind of a response is that considering you are representing the golf club. He just walked away and started clapping his hands.
In my mind the staff could easily have apologized for both the condition of the greens and the hole closure and offered some form of complimentary substitute. Examples being, free range balls and to replay one of the other par 5s In place of the close hole since we pretty much had the course to ourselves. We decided ourselves to replay the par 5 18th hole.

Beautiful Course
This course has lots of elevation changes which makes for some great views. There are also plenty of holes with water hazards to keep things interesting.

Love this course
Although the greens were recently punched and sanded they rolled pretty true. The rest of the course was incredible as always.

Aeriated greens
Fairways were excellent. Greens have recently been aeriated and have not fully recovered yet. This seems to be the only course I've played in the past 2 months that is not providing separate golf carts for individual players. Hard to social distance in a golf cart.

We can assure you our staff is committed to the safety of our guests and as such have followed all local & state recommendations. We've been back to 2 in a cart for the last few weeks as the state of South Carolina has said this is acceptable. Additionally, we've told anyone that has asked about this both in the Golf Shop and at our cart barn prior to golfers getting assigned a cart, and have a recording on our phone system that states this information. Your feedback has been shared with our staff for any additional improvements, but please feel free to reach out to us if you would like to address any concerns further. We hope to welcome you back for another round soon!

Phenomenal Shape
The course is in A-1 shape. Pace was a little slow because of blind holes that require waiting but overall very pleased with course play. Bang for your buck course! Definitely ready to head back to Mount Vintage!
