Mount Vintage Golf Club - Vintage Course

We had to cancel the scheduled round because of heavy rain and lightning in the area. The course sounded the warning horn. We played later and the course gave us a concession since we canceled the GN tee time. Thanks to GN for the cancellation and to Mt Vintage for treating us so fairly. I certainly will continue to use GN and Mt Vintage is one of our area favorites. Play this course!

This course use to be very nice. Has some of the best views. But the greens are in terrible shape. I even called and asked about the greens the night before and the pro said they was in good shape. Well there far from it. Definitely not worth no where near $58. I'll go back to the river club. Much better shape.

Mount Vintage was once an outstanding course with some of the best greens in Augusta. It has fallen on hard times with multiple bankruptcies. Although it has improved, the greens are in poor shape.

Has really went down hill. They should be closed until the greens can be re-done. Sad because it could be such a great course but they want in its current condition.

It’s been a long while since we played but the course was in great shape. It was challenging but it was fun. The price was reasonable and the staff was friendly. Definitely will be playing again in the future.

I played this course earlier this year when it was still dormant and was impressed with the greens condition. This made me want to go back later in the season when everything would be green and lush. Well this was not the case, not sure what happened to the greens but they are in bad shape especially around the edges 2’ to 3’ in with the occasional bad area within the green. Also I found the bunker to be thin and hard packed with the fabric barrier showing through. One other thing I did not expect was that my early tee time would be before the range was open. I will go back just maybe not as often being that I live just over an hour away. I plan on calling to find out which 9’s are open as well, still haven’t played Vintage yet, both time it was closed for maintenance.

One of the most impressive golf courses in the Augusta market. This is a must play golf course.

Course condition excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. Pace of play was great.

It’s amazing how far this course has come in the last couple years,the fairways and greens were in pristine condition. It has a beautiful clubhouse a huge brightness green and a very nice driving range. Only downside we had was we started at 8:30 in the morning and for some reason they let a fivesome go out in front of us. So needless to say It was a little bit of a slow round. If you haven’t played this course yet you should definitely check it out.

Mount Vintage has been around since 2000 when the original 18 hole course was opened. In 2008, they opened another 9 holes making this a course with a few more options.

The Vintage 9 is one of the original 18. It is the longest of the three with the most elevation changes, Many tee shots and approach shots are up or down 20-50 feet. The greens are very receptive and fair to putt.

The Chester 9 is also one of the original 18. It is the toughest of the three with sloping greens that are more difficult to putt. The greens have a few more bunkers as well.

The Independent 9 is the newest but much like the other two in appearance and condition. It has more water in play but also features wider fairways. It is a grip-it-and-rip-it type of design.

It is a bit of a drive from Augusta but well worth the visit for a very nearly perfect course.

It had been a while since we played Mt. Vintage and found the course looking great.However, by booking online, we were unaware that we would be squeezed between 2 large tournaments which made the day VERY long. Too bad that was not stated somewhere because it took away a lot of the positives this place has to offer.
