Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course

It was another day on the course. Pace of play was nice, got tight towards the end. I think the group in front of me started drinking haha. The greens were really dry and patchy. Ball played hopscotch on a couple, but we eventually found the bottom of the cup,

I love golfing the Verrado courses. Founders of say is my favorite though.

Green were terrible! Don’t play until they cut and get them under control. Not worth $94.

Fun course, not too challenging, 18th hole is iconic.

Great course! Staff is top notch, friendly, informative and knowledgeable. Highly recommend playing it.

I enjoyed Victory at Verrado. The course layout was very good..a couple of quirky holes. 11 and 17 come to mind where knowing the course would be helpful with you tee shot. My only complaint would be the conditions of the greens on the course. The speed certainly did not match the speed of practice green..much slower and some greens were not in great shape. Would I play it again yes but I would inquire on the conditions of the greens before playing..

Course was in great shape and the greens were true.

One of the top courses in Az! 16,17, & 18 are 3 of my favorite holes in golf. The scenery, the layout and the great course maintenance is unprecedented! If you have a chance to play don’t miss out

This is a sad place for golf.

We’ll start at the end.

There’s a friendly and efficient waitress at the grill.

Covered the entire place by herself and did it with a smile.

She almost made me forget;

1. The cart girl we saw on #2 but never caught sight of again until #13. Oh, when we did see her, she drove right by.

She hit the brakes on #17 after we employed stopsticks from the State Patrol. With her earbuds firmly in place, she claimed to have never seen us.

She did tell us people complained about the greens.

2. The greens

Practice green-Think WeKoPa.

The 18 greens on the course-Think Plinko, where you lose over and over again.

3. Design

A few blind tee shots.

And a few other blind tee shots which lead to equally blind second shots.

A couple of strange features, like a rock wall in the middle of a short par four. Rock walls in Scotland, cool. Not so hot in Buckeye, AZ.

I’m not coming back ever again. Unless it’s for a burger.

Poor sight lines everywhere. Rarely know the best place to hit tee shot. Massive construction continues. Dirt and dust everywhere. Played the course when it first opened years ago. At the time there were no homes built yet. After 5-6 years course isn’t any better.

Played both courses. Found I liked the Founders better. Victory had a few "tricky" holes with blind tee shots or blind approaches to green. Slowed the round down just trying to figure out where to go.

Founders is more established course. Found it fun to play, and will return.

Beautiful layout. Nice pace of play. Some greens were a little rough…big patches of dead grass. Overall, a good golfing experience.

Been playing Verrado for 6 years annually. This was worst ever round 5 hr 45 min
