The Lunar Landscape Photo submitted by dhume419 on 02/27/2017
Course had been punched a week before, but greens still rolled pretty well. Pace of play was slow due to group in front of us kept waiting for group to clear greens when they weren't capable of getting there. No drive over 230 that we saw. Course was overall up to it's standards and beyond.
Good Course, but pace was sub-par
This was my second time playing this course. The pace of play was slow, primarily due to a tournament ahead of us, which made the front nine particularly challenging. Unfortunately, the experience was further marred by the group behind us repeatedly hitting into our group. Despite politely addressing the issue after they hit into us on the 17th par 4 green, they blamed our pace, which was inaccurate as we were keeping up with the group ahead all day. Frustrated, I tossed their ball into the desert, something I don’t typically do.
It seems that in the summer, lower prices may attract a less considerate crowd, which can detract from the experience. The heat is expected, but the behavior of some players was disappointing.
Green conditions were poor
Greens need to be rolled once in awhile
Very hoppy
Drove from East valley
Totally worth the drive. Fun course, fun layout.
My only (incredibly minor).issue is the tee flag colour's. Black blends in surprisingly well. Something brighter would be appreciated
Challenge accepted!
This course has a beautiful desert scape that challenges your skills to keep your ball in play. If you lack ball control, be sure to bring plenty of extras. I always look forward to the 18th as it offers a great view from the silver/tips.
Great course, greens punched
The greens were punched, thus the great price especially after application of some earned credits. Loved the layout and the views were spectacular. Teamed up with some great guys and went around the track in good time. The fairways were in pretty good shape considering how dry it has been. Long carries for us old guys so step up to the forward tees and have fun.
Greens were recently plugged so rough putting.
Bunkers need attention
Love this course!
This course is one of the nicest in the valley. Very unique with the granite everywhere. Course was in really good shape. Greens were a bit bumpy from being punched but the course just reopened so to be expected. If you haven’t played Victory yet you are missing out.
punched as of 621
punched greens , no warning posted while booking tee time
Great course
Love the layout of the course. Even with the extreme heat the course is in great shape
Almost a 5 hour round
It is nearly 110° outside. There was no ranger to keep pace. The round was almost 5 hours of waiting. They did have two drink carts running, one for the front 9 and one for the back. The greens varied in speed. Some were slow and others were very slow. This made putting very inconsistent. The fairways were in good shape. Our biggest problem was the fargin ice holes behind us hitting into us 3 times. After the 3rd time my friend yelled back at them to stop. We parked the cart on top of a rise so that they could see us, but they hit into us anyway. They had no excuse to be doing this as they could clearly see the group in front of us all day and that we could not go any faster if we wanted to. It is jerks like this who ruin a round for you because you never know if they are going to hit into you again. They never once yelled "Fore". Did not attempt to apologize, even after one of their shots landed next to our cart while we were waiting for the green to clear. How do you not see that your ball landed near the group in front of you?!
