Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course

I have reviewed this course before. Just a very nice course, well maintained, and a very unique look. And despite how many times I have played it, it remains a challenge.

This is a beautiful course with lush green fairways and white boulders. There are many blind shots, I did not see a yardage book. They might have them but did not think to ask until we were on the course. The pace of play was fine until a twosome decided to skip a hole and pass our foursome. The rest of the round we waited for them as they waited for the group that was ahead.

The course was in great condition. The holes are not long but you have to hit your tee shot into the right place. The greens are true and challenging. The staff was friendly. The 18th hole is picturesque.

As a former pro shop manger here is what shouldn’t happen

The front counter person should not be TELLING us what the box to play (7 handicap)

I know he thinks he helping pace of play but if the group can’t play to well and doesn’t know how to keep place of pay a few hundred yards won’t fix that (That’s the marshals job) (only seen him twice)

Also the the tee sheet had 3 groups at the time we tee’d off plenty of room. I gave him a heads up were fast and lower handicaps

He should have sent us out ahead of the others (again no one on the sheet but the 3 groups ) instead those groups asked us to pass through (very nice of them)

All of that said great course very diverse, blind tee shots, very fun.

Great course and superb design. Challenging but playable. The conditions were great and the staff friendly and helpful.

Both the Victory and Founder's courses are very challenging but play the right tees based on your handicap. Fairways were firm and the greens firm and fast but in excellent condition. While it 100 degrees by 3 pm there was a good breeze so it wasn't unbearable other than 6-9 are upwind holes and were LONG holes from the Silver tees at 6500 yards. I hit several hybrids, 5 woods and 3 woods for approach shots to the greens today. Fortunately most ended up on or near the greens.

The Victory course has great views no matter what hole you’re on or which way you’re looking. I highly recommend playing it it’s fun to play and is challenging.

Usually a nice course however the greens were unusually slow ? Paying premium fees for slow greens is a disappointment

I enjoy this course. I have fun while I am here. Can be very challenging depending on which tees you choose. The 18th tee shot is always fun to get over the pond.

You will enjoy the course if uou play the proper tees.

Staff was very rude. Person at bag drop told us he wished everyone would cancel so he vould go home. Not the way to start a new experience

Excellent course for the cost. Will definitely return next time we are int he area. Course was booked full so pace was a little slow, but played 18 holes in 4 hours and 15 minutes

despite the windy conditions....great place to play. we got a great deal thru GolfNow and even got to tee off a little early. Round took 4hrs 5min....very good pace. Not a place to walk....long runs between holes.

I just love this course--the conditions, the layout, the scenery. It has a uniqueness to other courses that I enjoy and that keeps me coming back.

This course was one of the best course ive played in Phoenix! The practice range is beautiful, and the course layout was perfect! Long par 5a but plenty of easy par 4s! Bunkers are some of the best I’ve ever played. The 18th hole is amazing! Can’t wait to play here again!

This is the second time I played the course and it did not disappoint. Course is in excellent condition from tee to green. It is challenging but fair. My only complaint was the unnecessary slow play. My group teed off late because they decided to let 3 groups of 4 who arrived late and slowed play not only for my group but for everybody behind us for the entire round. Which made for a 5hr 20min round of golf which is unacceptable in my books.
