Play is late spring to enjoy
Course layout is good. Not difficult but would be a challenging walk. Fairways were dry and grass still dormant as were the greens. Greens were hard, dry and fast. The pin placement on at least 4 of the greens were completely unfair. They were in places that you either made the putt or it rolled off the green. Our group picked up several times realizing that making a putt in some of those pin placements would be dumb luck. That part was frustrating.
Making progress ! Nothing like labor and resources
Improvements are being made. It does require commitment from the city and the managing leadership.
Focus on what really matters to golfers ….. Tee boxes mowed; Fairways cut; Greens mowed, smooth and paced and of critical importance …. Marshal pace of play!
Great Value
Course in good condition overall. A few down trees and limbs from previous bad weather. Greens were decent for this time of year. Worth the money for sure.
Greens are great
Greens are great but fairway needs grass but a must play!!
Good test on a windy day
Course was good just after a rainstorm. Played tough with the wind. Holes 17 and 9 will always get your attention.

Enjoyed the course , will definitely play many more times
A Little More Work to Make Better
First off, for the cost this course is a great value.
The grounds crew has done a great job on most of the fairways and as spring progresses the grass will be fully grown in.
I expect the greens will grow in and actually be green. Right now they are not, but still play well.
Many of the tee boxes need a lot of work, either putting sod down, or seeding. Many of the tee boxes were bare.
They do have 2 high quality bathrooms on the course, which some of the more expensive courses don't have.
When the ground crew work on the tee boxes and the greens come in, I will up my rating a star or two , considering the reasonable cost of this course.
Great Value and Marshalling has greatly improved pace
A buddy and I play Tup at least twice a month, even during the cool months. We ususally rotate between Tup, Brown's Mill and Fox Creek when we play and our main complaint about Tup is that when the track is full pace can suffer due to slow play and lack or or poor marshaling. That was remedied this past weekend when we noticed that there was conscientious marshaling and we played 18 holes well under 4 hours which has not happened in months. We're extremely happen that both of the fallen trees have been removed and would love to see some work on the tee boxes in the near future.
Good public course
Usually a good course. Staff overbooked tee times this Sunday which caused 45 min delay.
Clearly Lacking in Golf Course Maintenance Priorities !
It’s appropriate to mow the fairways
Kill the weeds and mow the Tee boxes.
Maintain the greens daily…blow/remove debris; alternate rolling or mowing with more frequency.
Rotate cup placements more frequently.
“ NEVER MORE THAN TWO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL VISIBLE ON ANY DAY OR COMBINATION THEREOF, MONDAY-FRIDAY”.
Unproductive Marshaling abounds !!!
T- Boxes Terrible
None of the T-boxes are level. They are all at a slant. They also had sand on them which the footing difficult when teeing off.
Pay attention …….IT IS A GOLF COURSE
Operations with a daily plan is critical. It is completely fundamental to very specific areas. Start with the tee box. Move immediately to the greens speed and then pen placements then bunkers. However it must all start with statements from the marshal at the beginning of every round from #1 or #10 “PACE OF PLAY”…… delays will not be tolerated
