Good public course
Usually a good course. Staff overbooked tee times this Sunday which caused 45 min delay.
Clearly Lacking in Golf Course Maintenance Priorities !
It’s appropriate to mow the fairways
Kill the weeds and mow the Tee boxes.
Maintain the greens daily…blow/remove debris; alternate rolling or mowing with more frequency.
Rotate cup placements more frequently.
“ NEVER MORE THAN TWO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL VISIBLE ON ANY DAY OR COMBINATION THEREOF, MONDAY-FRIDAY”.
Unproductive Marshaling abounds !!!
T- Boxes Terrible
None of the T-boxes are level. They are all at a slant. They also had sand on them which the footing difficult when teeing off.
Pay attention …….IT IS A GOLF COURSE
Operations with a daily plan is critical. It is completely fundamental to very specific areas. Start with the tee box. Move immediately to the greens speed and then pen placements then bunkers. However it must all start with statements from the marshal at the beginning of every round from #1 or #10 “PACE OF PLAY”…… delays will not be tolerated
Manage the experience ✅
Course clean-up badly needed!
Fallen trees and other debris from last year's storm are still visible. Owner should make immediate commitments to correct this situation. This course layout is one of the best in Atlanta but the lack of attention is very disappointing and discourages play.
The City needs to do its job!
Winter Blues
Not in too bad of shape for winter, they should be in good shape for late spring. I mean, for $20’ish you should know what you’re getting into. Almost non-existent starter, just gotta work it out with whomever is there on the 1st tee box, which will be mostly uneven dirt year round. Greens are hard and pretty slow, only 3-4 on back 9 are any bit challenging. Ppl jumping around from hole to hole, def a 4-5 hr round if it’s busy. I’d rather play smoke rise river pines wolf creek west pines for jus $10-$20 more.
Improving conditions
It is a good value when the course is given the daily required dose of attention to making play enjoyable. Nice to see effort and the positive results. Keep the daily focus.
When maintained, an enjoyable track is unveiled
Keep the greens rolled and blown, traps raked and cups varied in location.
The tee boxes are completely neglected
A good track which could be much better
Repair tee boxes; blow greens daily, move pin placements more frequently, roll the greens vs mowing
Great public course
Course is looking fantastic, the grounds crew is doing a fantastic job. Based off of playing them all in the past month, Tup is in the best shape of 3 18 holes City of Atlanta courses, Browns Mill and Chastain can't beat it and cost more to play.
Very Accommodating on a cold, windy and wet day !
Honored an am “Hot Deal”…… Allowed single to play course (cart path only) on a wet, windy and cold 47 degree day. Course remained open for full round, in spite of no other players having showed up to play. Course drained and played enjoyably.
Bravo !
A good course not given the appropriate management guidance for it to be completely enjoyable.
PACE OF PLAY holes 12-17 IS HORRIBLE !!!!
Great grounds crew for the staffing level. They try to be efficient and focused. But the Mia have help to assess the daily requirements of Greens clearing, pin placements and bunker grading.
The Tee boxes on 2,3,4,5,7,9,10,11,12,13,15,17 need immediate attention and the resources to improve lies and marker placements.
The restrooms on the course are always closed…. Relief must be taken, somewhere…. Really !!!!
Marshals are in effective completely at managing pace of play throughout the course. And particularly on the back 9 holes. And they have enough sitting around on the first hole doing nothing.
Good course.
We started off with an hour frost delay. Glad we stayed. Great course with amazing staff. Some of the fairways are narrow and a lot of holes run parallel to each other. This leads to people playing balls from the fairways of the hole adjacent to them. Actually kind of funny to watch. The course was in great condition for the winter. Will definitely be back.
Very nice course. Some challenging holes which I love.
Tee boxes need work.
Grounds Staff…… Blow greens off daily. Rake the bunkers daily. Roll the greens, make the pace uniform. “Fundamentals of golf course management”.
Marshals…. Do your job and keep the pace flowing, particularly holes 14,15,16 & 17
Management…. Ride the course. Give guidance to the course managers for what the aught be focused on daily to present the course for an enjoyable experience for golfers.
