Tup Holmes
City course. I paid $15.00 for 18 holes on Sunday at 11:00. Very good deal in my opinion.
You won't see the ground crew or have a cart girl/woman, but for the money it is ok.
Holes #9 and #17 are great signature holes.
The course was in very good condition after a week of rain. I expected cart path only conditions but was allow to drive on the course without any issues.
Great Course Value
Great course value and some challenging holes. Does not have any water, but still numerous possibilities to loose balls...
Budgeted maintained, with challenging unique vintage layout. Good weekday pace
A Municipal private corp. budgeted maintained course it has unique layout and elevation changes, sloped fairways, and the feel of a mature golf course. Shorter par 5's encourage the birdie quest
well bunkered greens with no real water hazards. Very good weekday pace of play.
Inexpensive but still not a great deal
Course was in general disrepair. Many balls were lost despite landing on the fairway. Many tee boxes were in rougher shape than actual fairway. At one point, our cart completely died. When we inquired with the proshop on how best to proceed, we were told to hike our stuff up to the proshop and they would give us a different one - no apology was made.
Great value
Tup Holmes is a great course for the money. It is maintained well and presents a sufficient challenge for the average golfer. Improvements could include beverage cart services
This course was in terrible condition
The greens were like fairways and the fairways were like the rough. I actually ended up losing two balls in the fairway because it was so thick. Not very expensive, so I probably should have known better, but nonetheless, a disappointing experience on the course. The landscape was very nice, but overall was not enough to overcome how the course was kept.
Nice course, great price.
Set in some rolling countryside just SW of downtown Atlanta, it gives an alternative to the flat course at Brown's Mill. It is not terribly long, but it does have fairly small greens, so you have to be accurate on the second shot. It also has two fun (even if you can't hit the shot) novelty holes set around ruins from an old Civil War Camp site from during the battle of Atlanta. Well maintained, nice staff, and a good value for the money, especially if you don't want to drive out of the city.
Excellent GREENS
Not an overpowering course but requires some pin point accuracy on a couple of holes. Par 3 #9 is challenging requiring a rescue for most players. Tight fairways are not my cup of tee, but I scored well that day (79).
This is an excellent course.
Love holes 9 and 17, very challenging. Great course to play for the cost.
Terrible Service
We only play nine holes because of rain, the staff would not provide a rain check. Thsi is the first course that I've play that would offer a rain check. Very disappointed. Course is not in great shape, green are good but slow, havenot been cut.
Course could be better
This course could be better. The price was great, but no ball washers, no restrooms, and unmaintained bunkers. At least the greens are in great shape. Will wait a while before playing there again.
Greens rolled true
Sure, the fairways were a little patchy in some areas, but the greens were in very good shape. Very friendly staff. I'll definitely be back.
great value
This was great course to play, especially for the money. Very fun course. Forces you to be accurate and employ good course management.a couple of the greens could have been blown off. Littered with natural debris from trees making them hard to putt on.
Great history!
Wide and long course with some challenging par-3's. {ar 5's can be reached in 2 shots. It still has winter fairways and fast greens.
Great place to play with discount. Hopefully with some watering and some love, the place is as green as other GA courses.
Would definitely come back.
Challenging and a fun course to play!
If some attention and money were given to this course (rocky to dirt fairways), this would be the gem that would rival North Fulton and even Browns Mille.
Golfer friendly layout, nice for all levels of the game.
Played this course day after it rained, wasn't dried out but wasn't soggy either, well drained. Wide fairways, nice sized greens very open layout, most par 4's your on in two. Holes 9 and 17 are drop elevation holes, great view, fun holes.
Had fun
The layout on this course is really well designed and was probably a gem way back in the day. Definitely one of the coolest designs I played in a long while, unfortunately the course is in pretty rough shape, greens are ok though. Overall it was fun for the price.
You get what you pay for
I think Ron (Pro Shop) is the only guy that works there, he is great. The course doesn't really have any fairways, bunkers always seem to have an "under repair" type condition, pace of play is slow and unmonitored by what appears to be a non-existent starter. You can generally find some pretty cheap tee times and so it's worth playing every now and then.
Great staff
Course is challenging and layout is fair. The course itself is not in the best of shape but, price and staff make it worth while in a pinch.
