Sad to see
Tupp became my home course during the pandemic playing 3-4x per week . Since then it’s been said to see this course change . They are barely any carts so just consider this course walking only as they never have tee time with carts . Then for some reason it’s takes months for any man made hazards to be moved . The greens have been trash for years but the fairways are decent . I think the tee box can be spotty but that’s a given Pat public courses as people don’t take care of them and then complain about how expensive a country club is but dogs public courses . Overall I loved this course def needs some toc to carts and greens but unplayable until
Carts come back
Just Spend A Little Money on the Course
Love this track because we played it a lot when we were high school/College. Historic war site just makes the place cool.
Carts- terrible. They get you around the course but that is it.
Tee Boxes- a few are decent, but most need new sod and water. We pay no attention to the tee markers and hit where there is grass.
Fairways- some are pretty good. Many have bare spots in certain places and very rough around the cart paths etc. Again, I just move my ball to real grass and hit a golf shot. It’s a must on some holes.
Greens- most are good and a few have some rough sections. When cut they run at 11. They are mostly small which is pretty cool and provide a good test.
Bunkers- they mostly suck snd have concrete under the sand. Why, I have no idea. Always check and move your ball if needed. Some I just move the ball out and hit. So don’t go in them.
Price - GN can’t beat it.
So, if you can just relax, not worry about playing a pure round and enjoy the day you will have fun. If you are pure about the rules don’t go. You will be frustrated.
To The City- spend some money and fix the place up.
Great track not kept up
This shouldn’t even be called a golf course. I’m sure many years ago it was awesome. Only thing awesome now is the staff. Each member of the staff we encountered was great. All but 2 tee boxes were nasty. No grass only dirt and rocks. Fairways were not mowed and looked more like rough. We lost several balls that were hit dead center in them. Most of the greens were pretty good. Carts should have been junked years ago. Actually they probably were and the city picked them up for not much money. Course layout is very interesting and challenging. Just not in good shape. Unfortunately I probably won’t go back.
Course conditions
The fairways were terrible grass was much to high and I manure to play a enjoyable round.lose balls in the fairway grass slow down pace play
Very challenging
The cart path are very bad and need serious repairs
Course Shape is Improving
Course was in much better shape than when I played last several months ago. Greens are good but fairway grass is too high. Tough finding balls even in the fairway.
Overall, course is in fair shape. Would be in great shape in fairways were cut along with just off the fairway.
Play here all the time
Make sure you bring your own drinks and food. Carts could use a little work along with a few of the greens that don’t get a ton of sun. Overall a great course for the price!
Surprised
Headed to this place, we were expecting this to be a minefield. Had a 6:45 tee time for $30 and it was well worth it. Sure, most of the tee boxes were chewed up and some greens had some ugly spots around the edges, but overall, I’d play this course 10 times out of 10 on a Saturday morning for $30. Layout was nice. Only thing was that there was no food or drinks in the clubhouse.
Well worth its value.
