El Prado Golf Courses - Butterfield Stage

About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

FUN COURSE
Great course, love the layout. Bunkers weren’t great but i didn’t hit any so who cares! lol
Played with some random guys we were all having a rough time on the fast greens but picked it up toward the middle. Plan on going back!

Beautiful t iful day for golf
It was a great day to play golf.Enjoyed the day with a great foursome.....wish there were some earlier tee times so we can finish earlier because I cannot drive at dark(almost 84).
Suggestion..assign employee to fill both divot bottles before cart leaves garage. My partner and I emptied both bottles on one fareway( bottles that I personally filled before teeing off)..also a sign.." please refill your divots"

Good value and course is in good condition.
Only complaint is the ball washers haven’t been put back in service. Some other courses have them working again. The rest of the course is fine.
