El Prado Golf Courses - Butterfield Stage
About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Course is very playable
Course is in decent shape. Winter grass is making the fairways fast. Still lots of bald spots in the fairways.
Bunkers are now filled with a fine dirt- but playable.
Greens are awesome like always- rolling fast but true.
Reliable
Always tee times, decent greens, nice staff, great value, grass range.
Its nice to see a courses not gouging players for range balls and green fees.
Course condition isn't stellar but the greens were nice and what matters in terms of fairway was very playable.
Great value course in the area.

Course and club evaluation
Prefer chino side. The other side stinks. The odor is aweful. Chino side seems a little more challenging also.. I have played both sides several times. The price is fair and usually can get a tee time relatively easy. The parking lot needs paving and restriping . The bar area is too dark and dingy.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting El Prado Golf Courses - Butterfield Stage, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Great 2 courses
Love playing in both courses. One more challenging than the other 👍 Can’t beat the price.
Best golf in Norco
I have been playing at El Prado for years and the course keeps getting better. There are 36 holes available to play. All 4 nine’s are different and so much fun. The staff is fabulous and the greens keepers keep the course in fabulous shape. Carts are available but you can easily walk this course. I highly recommend going to El Prado.
Good value and improved conditions
It has been a while since the last time I played the Chino Creek course. The course conditions have improved a lot. The greens are very good. As long as you stay close to the fairway, the conditions are OK. There are still many bare spots if you hit a bad shot
