About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

I drive past 3 other courses to play here
Staff are super friendly and helpful. For me, the course is just the right mix of challenging and friendly. There are no 'hail Mary' blind shots to the green, which I appreciate.
Green fees are reasonable and the broad mix of golfer types seem to keep up a reasonable pace.
JJ'S ROUNDS
Their Course is usually Packed , But that being said , Staff at EL PRADO is more than accommodating to all Level of Golfers & Play. Course is Challenging from All Tees as long as You Play from Correct Set. I would recommend this Course to Anyone / Everyone.
Great place
El Prado is a great deal. The 2 courses are generally in good condition. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. . I have played here many many times and always hear this is the best deal in golf. They have also made many upgrades in the past few years. The clubous is nice, banquet facility, patio, and the best burger around. I highly recommend El Prado for a fun day of golf.
Conditions
A few rough areas, dried out hard pan.
No problems if you’re a fairways to greens , I’m a 18 handicap so I don’t necessarily have that advantage.
All of the staff were exceptional, pro shop and restaurant.
I’ll be back when weather cools a bit.
Last minute round
Course was in fairly good condition. Pace of play was great and the greens were receptive. Easy to book my time on GolfNow app. Enjoyed our round.
Course review
Bottom line — El Prado is one of the few remaining affordable places to play. The courses are not in the best of shape because of the amount of play they get, but they are quite playable nonetheless. A friendly staff and a better than average restaurant.and bar help make El Prado a more than decent alternative to higher-priced venues that often aren’t worth the extra buck(s).
COURSE IS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER
Not only is this my local course but it has getting better and better. Keep the great work the courses look great !!!!!!!

Solid for the price
Solid round of golf! Some holes are easy, some are hard.
No dirt in any fairways or anything like that.
I'd play here again, not for the full green fee though.
It's worth the "Hot Deal" price to me, not more.
