El Prado Golf Courses - Butterfield Stage

About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Needs a lot of love
Would be a great course and layout if they fixed the really patchy fairways, uneven green quality, and the broken cart paths.
And if they actually had directions on the course to the next tee because you cross over a few times and get lost if you aren’t a regular.
Horrible course
Terrible course “butterfield” to play on. The fairway matched the rough and had dirt patches everywhere. Cart path’s are dirt and gravel. $42 is asking for a little much for the way it’s kept up.

But, El prado is literally the best course for the $ anywhere in this area. Now the secret is out.

Good times!
Came here for my birthday with 7 of my friends. We all had a blast! The only thing is, we were hoping the cart golf was gonna come earlier instead of the final 3 holes. We were thirsty and didn’t want to interrupt play just to drive all the way back to the pro shop. Besides that, it was great and we look forward to playing again…
