About
El Prado Golf Course boasts two different 18-hole courses: Butterfield Stage and Chino Creek. Early in California's statehood, stagecoaches would make the 2,700 mile trek from St. Louis to San Francisco. The property used to be a stop on this trail, which is where the Butterfield Stage Course gets its name. It's the shorter of the two courses at 6,568 yards from the back tees. The course is flatter and more forgiving than Chino Creek, but it still has a fair amount of challenges that will test your skills. The layout has generous fairways, but watch out for the strategically placed bunkers lurking along the large, gently undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on several holes as well. The wide open nature of the course can be forgiving but at the same time it will put your round at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

Good day on a very hot day
Pace was slow, but steady....the hot, dry weather is slowly drying out the fareways. A couple greens are still.recovering from the oil leakage dripping across the greens often resulting in putts being misdirected as they cross rut...overall a good day
Definitely worth playing at.
Very well kept course, some greens were a little rough but great staff and overall nice play to play at. Will be playing again when I’m in town.

THE BUGS!!
THE LITTLE BUGS KEPT GETTING INTO MY EYE. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE SHIELDS ON THE CARTS, THE LITTLE BUGS ARE ALWAYS A PROBLEM WHEN I PLAY HERE. IT WAS A FAST ROUND AND A VERY GOOD PRICE.

Great Place to play!!
This course will surprise you with it's excellent grass driving range, great rates and well kept greens. It's a challenging layout but very satisfying with some great holes. The twilight prices are a great way to get in some good quality golf at a low rate. I play here with my beginner son once a week and we have a BLAST!!

This is the best value for your money. Grass range and three nice size putting practice greens

Booked early tee time waited at the tee box for 15 min starter never said go or we will put someone with you so went by myself. Made the turn and there was a 2 sum just teeing off for the back 9, went to the pro shop to complain he told me...oh ya they just teed off, ok so I waited every shot on the back 9...got back to the parking lot 2.5 hours later parked the cart were I have always parked the cart and someone claiming to be the manger harassed me about were I parked the cart for return....They need new management at this course.
Nice course to play, but don't play it when it's 90 degrees outside, There is one hole with a small lake which smells terrible, my only complaint on the course, fairways are ok and greens good
