El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

El Prado is my home. The course is on good shape, always room for improvement, but for a muni it’s the best I have seen it in years. The staff is friendly, kind. and accommodating. No hassle with anyone on the course. Pace of play is good 4 hours. Beverage cart staff is awesome and the 19th hole has everything you need. Hit of grass at the range ( no mats ), it’s the only way to practice or warm up. Chipping and putting greens are much better since being punched. The price is right on the round also.

Good for golf
The golf course was in good condition and many of the greens were beautiful. The aeration on the greens has been completed and "healed"
.when our cart developed a problem the employees were quick to respond and we were back in play. The only criticism I would have were the men's restrooms poor water pressure and no papers to dry hands. Suggestion: fill the dispensers on cart BEFORE play..on 17th fareway. My partner and I used All our sand filling many divots that fellow golfers left unfilled(maybe containers did not have sand to fill divots?)..overall a good day

Pace of play
Had to play the front 9 twice after seeing the long wait on 10, not to mention the twosome i was following that was playing 2 balls..they’re riding, i was walking and i was waiting every hole..a Marshall would’ve been great to have..not sure if they have one or not..

Tournament Placed Out in Front without Letting Golfers Know
We had one of the early times on a Monday. We were going along fine until we hit the 14th tee box. There was a shotgun tourney with all the rest of the holes taken. There were 4- 8 players on each hole. WHY? Let the golfers know so we can plan. We just QUIT. I cannot wait 20 minutes or more behind a tournament for each hole. especially since we didn't know it was happening. That is an extra 1.5 hours that we didn't anticipate. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
