About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Awful conditions
Awful course conditions. The greens are pretty much destroyed. A Rzr would be more appropriate than a golf cart for the condition of the cart paths.
Upgrades in progress
You only get about 14 or 15 real holes to play on. They are currently upgrading some of the other holes. You get to play all 18 but 3 or 4 holes are pretty bad. Will probably give yourself courtesy Pars.
SLOW
First off, I booked this round a week ahead for a 9:33 tee time. Showed up around 8:45 for check in and was told by the Pro shop that they had us down as 9:55. Showed them my GolfNow RSVP and they blamed it on the app. I've used GN for about 10yrs and never had 1 issue. Turns out they had a tournament going on. Figured they pushed up back. Oh well we thought. 9: 55 rolls around and we tee off into a group of 5 that looked like they never golfed before. Starter told us the group was told to keep up pace. Which they didn't. Our group left the course after 4 holes which took us 1.5 hrs. We will not be returning to this course. Also 1st green is nasty, 3rd hole has a temp hole, not green. LOL you're putting on fairway.
It's been a while
I remember the Orange/Riverside 18 hole layouts from years ago and during a brief coaching stint I stopped playing here a while back. I must say short of the first green being a bit burnt (and the first hole lost the tree that protected the tee shot) it was a very nice day of golf. 13 holes as they were on the riverside side and 5 excellent holes from the orange side made for a great layout and an awsome set of par 5's to finish. I will go back again soon and try to improve on my 79. The pro shop staff was awsome. Good carts great greens and fun day for all....
Good bang for buck
Fun course layout forgiving fairways, little slow pace of play but not the worst, definitely felt it was worth it will come back also it does get very windy later in the day

apart from the first green (needs to be closed down for rotted green) the course was good.
the wind in the afternoon made the course play really tough (keep that in mind in the afternoon.
Staff were excellent ...even got us out early (2 some).
i would recommend the course after the first hole.

1st hole green terrible(sorry)
Fairway bumps and dirt on most holes
Played for a friends bday round only times left (a bit on me since I looked 2 weeks prior)
Sorry to see the dry fairways due to drought
It needs to sprinkle the course more than ever. Overall fairways damaged. There are many two-time players in the back 6 holes so that the pace of play becomes terrible all of sudden. Management must place a marshal there.
