Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Green River, Corona, CA - nice Surprise!
I have lived in Corona for 22 years and never golfed at Green River until yesterday. My buddies and I had a great stress-free, relaxing day. We loved the open fairways and the forgiveness that creates with a bunch of guys that score in the high 90's. I had such a great experience, I will be bringing my teen and 22 year old there very soon.
Hidden Gem
I love the wide fairways on this course.
And I love playing the back side because it’s typically cooler regardless of the current temperature.
First experience is not good
It just happen that there was a Scga junior tournament going on. Our teetime was 3:30pm ended up teeing of around 4:30. Nothing said about tournament online. But having said that course lay out is ok. Will play again and I ask before reserving. Since u can not cancel TeeOff reservation
Great course for all levels...
I been here few times and it was my second time I had to quit in the middle of the round due to a crazy low pace.
Last time, a group of 8 Asian players were playing in the same hole. Somehow no one cared so got so fed-up that I left. Yesterday, not the same so less frustrated but there were a JR outing that delayed my tee time for about 45 mins and the pace was pretty slow. Windy condition made the play a little worse.
Will be back but probably will choose different time to avoid quitting in the middle of the round.
Bad
Course was in very bad condition. Nobody at the starter. No Marshall. Course extremely bumpy. As we’re ready to tee off, greens keeper drives down the middle of the fairway instead of driving off to the side, not allowing us to tee off, making us wait. Then stops at the tee box with his load engine running and leaves once we tee off. Then on a later hole, we are within 100 yds of the pin getting ready to hit onto the green, and the same greens keeper decides that this is the time that he is going to drive onto the green to start watering, totally ignoring us as we are ready to hit onto the green. The people behind us weren’t even on the tee box yet, so there would have been plenty of time to water the green after letting us finish the hole. We decided after the first 9 that we didn’t want to endure anymore of this course, so we asked if it was possible to get a partial refund for the back 9. They said they could only give us vouchers to come back and play for free. We declined.
Not worth the money
The bunkers solid dirt, had to wait on every hole no ma mo Marshall to speed up play,to many rookies hacks out there, no food at the turn. The only positive was rhe staff, we were an hour late and they still got us out. You can find a lot better for half of the price
This course is just OK. Nothing special..
The Course was way to bumpy rough riding.
Walkers made the pace slow.
probably will not golf there again.
Poorly managed
Monday afternoon tee time and they were 1 hour behind schedule with no carts. Finally 2 carts came out and we were next. Some guy rolls up with a 5 some and takes the carts and goes out. The starter says “he works here so he can do that”. Seriously? We had 12:24 tee time and it was already 1:30 pm. So now we have to play behind a 5 some when we finally get carts. The fact the course cares so little about it’s paying customers is enough that I will never return. Unbelievable.
