Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Long wait for carts
Course allows one person per cart due to Covid-19 but doesn't have enough carts. Long wait of more than an hour without available carts, and decided to walk the course instead.
delay t off due to limited cart
on 4/29 I wait more than 45 min to have a golf cart. Today 5/4 my t time 2.12 PM. At 3.10pm there are 3 groups afront of me still waiting for the carts. I asked the pro shop cancel my t time...it was a waste ...day
I get it, but...
If you’re going to make each person ride separately, either have more carts accessible or stagger the times.
No carts available
Wasn’t able to complete 18
Course wasn’t cut in awhile ...balls lost in rough
Due to the following, pace was slow
Great! Should be better, later.
Course was in good shape, Managed to EAGLE the 3rd hole with a driver and an 8 iron. Greens we're great. Pace was good but it almost always backs up on about the 14th hole. Good staff. Polite. Friendly.
1/2 the course shut down
It will sure be good 2 play this course again when it is completely open as the construction has you missing out on holes 3 through 11 during the weekdays. I managed to hit a really good drive on the number 12 hole and smashed an 8 iron on to the green for my first eagle. I holed out! I've had three hole in ones but never an eagle so that was different. The course seems to always play slow on the back for some reason, usually the last 5 holes but, other than that, it's always a fun one to play. Good staff.
Go elsewhere
First time there. Part of the course is close right now but the holes that are open are in poor shape. Kid in the pro shop was nice but after 4 holes I left. Pace of play was terrible and no Marshall to keep everyone in check
The course was a great value!
Due to nearby construction, my wife and I were only able to play half of this course. We thought the course was in pretty good condition - the fairways were a little rough but the greens were well maintained and fast. The course has a good layout and is well marked with easy to follow signs.
The staff in the pro-shop and restuarant were polite but far from friendly. The food was good and a good value for the price.
We look forward to coming back and playing this course again when it is fully open.
The course is short on weekdays, because a construction
Play was on reconfigured 9 holes. Played under this condition before. Called course before making this reservation and was told that play was back to the regular 18 hole configuration. Found out on the 2nd hole that we would be playing the reconfigured 9 holes twice. At that point my guest was disappointed.
GREAT COURSE
NICE GREENS IT RAINED AND IT WAS WINDY BUT WHO DOESNT LIKE A CHALLENGE
Poor choice
This course could be a fun track if they took care of the grass. A few of the greens were in terrible shape especially number 1. The grass around the greens is awful and makes getting up and down a chore.
Tee time issues
Had a 7:06am tee time...get to the starter at 6:56am to check in...a foursome was teeing off and there was TWO(2)!!!!!! fivesomes waiting to tee off one which had a little boy about 7 I'm guessing playing with them...we did not get to tee off till 7:50!!!! Then the pace of play was absolutely at a snail's pace....we could see the little boy hitting in front of us....I'm all for youngsters learning the game....but c'mon....on the par 5's he hit the ball probably 15 times.....and I'm only saying this cuz they were taking FOREVER....anyways we finished up at 1:20!!...never seen anyone come around to check on the pace of play....don't know if we'll be back....the last time we golfed here it was slow but not this bad
goo for the price i paid, we like cause not forcing play 4 peoples. need work on pavement.
Its in the works!
Haven't played here since the fire rampaged through about 1/2 the area. Lots of beautiful trees are now just burned matches. STILL, a lot of beautiful areas remain. I think they should plant small trees to take the place of those that are gone.
The course is in the rebuild stage, due to the fire as well as the course is bumpy, but I've had back surgery and there are very few smooth areas. PEOPLE... use the sand to fill in your divots, please! I would want to go again, however, as the price and size of the course gives you your monies worth. Nice people work there. Lots of leaves when it is windy... be prepared to lose some balls.
