Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Nothing changed as expected
Nothing improved, everything was same as years ago even enough rain in this year.
Great Course!
After all the rains, you wouldn't expect the course to be in such good shape but it was great! Didn't score that well but that's not the course's fault. Haven't played in a month. :-). . Keep up the good work out there.
Course needs upgrades
I haven’t played here in a few years. The staff is outstanding. The course, not so much. Fairways are less than average. And some greens need major work.
Perfect Deal
Cant beat the price for an 18hole . Ill definitely come back and play there maybe ill get a better score
Nice course!
Played it a number of times but this time we were unfortunate to get some new beginning players in front of us. After finally realizing we're weren't gonna finish before it got dark, passed them up and still finished short 4 holes. Need to tee off around noon and not after 1. I have never seen more golf balls left out on the course before (their loss).Still: good bargain for the money.
Course is run down
The greens were in pretty good shape but the rest of the course was in rough shape. Fairwairs were like a cow pasture very bumpy and dirt everywhere. No starter which made for a cluster at the start. No water in the ball washers and no marshals out to ensure pace of play is good.
An interesting circumstance...
I have been golfing here since I was 12 years old, (I’m 27 now) as I grew up local in Anaheim Hills and Yorba Linda. I have always been happy with the front end of course (the hospitality on management”s side). Recently I left a full pack of a dozen Srixon Z-Star XV in the cart when I turned it in. . . I called the course the following morning to let them aware of the situation. Of course the cart boys denied ever receiving them and admitting they took them, but management stepped in and reimbursed me a new pack of Titleist Pro-V1s. If that’s not customer service, I don’t know what is. Art is a great guy and I will continue to go to this course because of that.
Do Not Golf between 11am-2pm
Worse pace of play ever between the hours 11am and 2pm. It’ll take you 3 hours to cover 9 holes. Gimme Putts are in. Edges of the fairways are poor. Worth the tee time though if you get an early more or twilight round.
Terrible Condition
Course is in terrible condition. The greens are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Hit into two green side traps, both were wet. Playing partner hit in two as well, both times he was in the bunkers were wet as well. Used to be a great course to play for the money, now it’s just a bad course.
Good value.
Quick round on Monday for a great rate. Staff was very helpful and nice especially Maria in the bar and grill.
fairway are bad, treeline seems not trimming regularly, some green need to maintain.
Don’t bother
I used to like the course many years ago. Now it is quite run-down. All 4 players in our group commented similarly. Gophers seem to have taken over (dirt mounds everywhere). Many of the greens are quite patchy with bare dirt. It also doesn’t help that there is major construction in the adjacent river bed. The course needs some loving care and attention.
Course review
For being a Saturday before noon I would think they would have had a starter. The course grass all around was poor, crabgrass all over. There is construction going on, but to traverse most of the fairways a ATV would be more suited, even not near the construction. When we made the turn, there was a twosome that decided to start on the back due to the congestion on 1. Hence the need for a starter. I guess 36 bucks is worth it but I will have a hard time even paying that to play there again.
Arifiiatcon process, poor condition
I did not know that the course would be doing the work on the greens when I made the reservation. They closed 9 holes and allowed play on holes 3 through 11. On those holes that were open for playing, the plug markes were so bad, putting was almost impossible. They could make them better in my opinion, especially if they want to close 9 holes.
