Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Hole 11 Photo submitted by gbjunior on 05/18/2013
The course was a great value!
Due to nearby construction, my wife and I were only able to play half of this course. We thought the course was in pretty good condition - the fairways were a little rough but the greens were well maintained and fast. The course has a good layout and is well marked with easy to follow signs.
The staff in the pro-shop and restuarant were polite but far from friendly. The food was good and a good value for the price.
We look forward to coming back and playing this course again when it is fully open.
The course is short on weekdays, because a construction
Play was on reconfigured 9 holes. Played under this condition before. Called course before making this reservation and was told that play was back to the regular 18 hole configuration. Found out on the 2nd hole that we would be playing the reconfigured 9 holes twice. At that point my guest was disappointed.
GREAT COURSE
NICE GREENS IT RAINED AND IT WAS WINDY BUT WHO DOESNT LIKE A CHALLENGE
Poor choice
This course could be a fun track if they took care of the grass. A few of the greens were in terrible shape especially number 1. The grass around the greens is awful and makes getting up and down a chore.
Tee time issues
Had a 7:06am tee time...get to the starter at 6:56am to check in...a foursome was teeing off and there was TWO(2)!!!!!! fivesomes waiting to tee off one which had a little boy about 7 I'm guessing playing with them...we did not get to tee off till 7:50!!!! Then the pace of play was absolutely at a snail's pace....we could see the little boy hitting in front of us....I'm all for youngsters learning the game....but c'mon....on the par 5's he hit the ball probably 15 times.....and I'm only saying this cuz they were taking FOREVER....anyways we finished up at 1:20!!...never seen anyone come around to check on the pace of play....don't know if we'll be back....the last time we golfed here it was slow but not this bad
goo for the price i paid, we like cause not forcing play 4 peoples. need work on pavement.
Its in the works!
Haven't played here since the fire rampaged through about 1/2 the area. Lots of beautiful trees are now just burned matches. STILL, a lot of beautiful areas remain. I think they should plant small trees to take the place of those that are gone.
The course is in the rebuild stage, due to the fire as well as the course is bumpy, but I've had back surgery and there are very few smooth areas. PEOPLE... use the sand to fill in your divots, please! I would want to go again, however, as the price and size of the course gives you your monies worth. Nice people work there. Lots of leaves when it is windy... be prepared to lose some balls.
This course is a mess
with the construction causing 9 holes to be out of play, the lack of work done by course workers to keep the remaining holes mowed and groomed, the overworked carts with no GPS, and the lack of customer care at the first tee Green River is not a course I would recommend for any of my friends. It is with $15.00 and no more.
construction mess
Worse experience ever !!!!! Neither did golf now or the course let us know there was construction going on. It was a joke playing the way it was set up.... you went from holes 1-2 to 12. Then 13-18. By the time we went back to try to complete the second half all over, it was backed up 4 deep!!!!! Try to get a voucher for a future round and we were rejected. What a joke of a golf course. Will never return and believe me, the word will get spread !!!!!
Worst course ever unplayable!
Trees down and left to decay overgrown fairways only 9 holes "playable yard markers in wrong position it should be closed and developed! I'll never play there again and wouldn't recommend to my friends! Golf now should warn customers about conditions on marginal courses!!
Great Value & Beautiful
I love laying here:
1. Friendly people play here
2. Super deals
3. Majestic mature trees
4. Love the river
5. I even enjoy the trains that pass through
6. Large practice putting green
7. Towering mountains over look you
Half closed
I booked through GolfNow and wasn't told 9 of the holes were closed
Olny open 9 holes
The course should disclose the construction condition and closing 9 holes, We have to repeat the same 9 holes for 18 holes playing. There are so many dry leaves on the fairways and greens so it was very hard to find out the ball.
No ammenities at all!
The course layout dictates you play through hole 12 to get back to the clubhouse. There was no food/beverage cart at all. The snack shack located at 10 was closed, and when we got back to the clubhouse we found out they weren't serving hot food at all. Just drinks and snacks The fairways were very hard and bumpy, with lots of bare spots. The greens were ok. The sand traps were dirt and rock.
