Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Okay course if you find a deal online
If you can find a deal for less than $25 to play then it is a good course to play.
Love Course, Hated Waiting
The course was great. Our 11:15 tee time turned into 11:45 because the starter was 30 minutes behind. Once we started playing we waited constantly. Our threesome took five hours to play 18 holes. When we made the turn about 2:30, it looked like the starter was probably about an hour backed up. At hole 16 there was a 4 group pile up. The marshals couldn't/wouldn't do anything. I would guess this is a case of course management trying to cram way too many golfers onto the course. Also, the range was completely full when I tried to hit before my round.
need more
When I checked in they don't have enough cart and had to wait about 10-15 mins. Greens need to roll more but over all is really good. Especially $25 for 1:06 tee time.
Changes are for the worse
I used to play it when there two 18 hole courses. Wow have things changed!!
The Riverside course was the first 12 holes and were pretty nice . The Orange course side is really screwed up.
Your course needs more specials to attract holders. All the nice holes on the Orange side are gone.
Great course & even better staff
Pace was a little slow due to knuckleheads that spent majority of their time looking for their ball and chatting after putting out. Once Marshall notified them, it picked up a little. Nice course and great value ($35 for sat 1pm). Met 4-5 staff members and every one of them were friendly and polite.
Green River pace of play was awful.
There were Marshalls all over
but they didn't enforce slow play.
Decent course. Good value
Nice course. In decent shape. Railroad runs right through it. No
GPS on carts which I thought was advertised.
Discounted Rates:
After signing up online for $35.00 for an 11:30 t time. Which in itself was well worth the cost. However, after being paired up with another player who just walked on the course. We come to find out he only paid $27.00 which is a special for the whole month of March. I think I would have much more respect for the course if your staff would have just given us the same deal - we brought 2 players to the course.
This course has great features
The pace was a little slow, but the course has a great layout. scenery is pretty.
average
pace of play is annoying, 20 practice swings before hitting by players in front...annoying cause the marshal watched and moved on with 2 groups waiting to tee off
Fun track but a little rough around the edges
Our group had a good time playing the course but some of the greens were beat up quite a bit. (And that's not counting the 6 holes that had just been aerated earlier in the week.) Some green had sandy spots while other had this a sandy crease between the green and the first cut of rough. But the price was excellent at $30 including the golf cart. I will be back in a couple months and hopefully conditions will improve over that time.
Train Wreck
When this course was 36 holes, Orange and Riverside 18's, it was always in pretty good shape but then the Army Corp Engineers struck and did the Santa Ana River project. What is now there isn't a golf course. The first 11 holes are on the Riverside course and it's like they gave up taking care of these holes. The greens are terrible, patches of grass, or just no grass at all. There were not too many places to put the pins where there is good grass. The last seven holes are made up of what is left on the Orange Course, those greens are fine but the fairways are patchy. Lots of construction going one. If they have plans of reworking this course remains to be seen but it's horrible now and not work playing
Great for beginners
Played with my husband's 18 yr old son and had a good round. This course tends to stack'em so there are times where I've had to wait and the round ends up being a 5 hour round. I've completed this course in 3.25-3.5 hrs playing 18 holes. For the price you pay to play here, it's not bad.
Greens in bad shape n back nine is a joke
The course use to be well maintained n the greens were good. Now, the course is being shorten from a par 72 to a Par 70 . The back nine is awful n the greens have bare dirt spots all over! The course is in Horrible condition!!!!!
Great layout
Great layout and condition but their is one tempory green and work on another but both holes can be played.
Work in progress, gets an A for effort.
Thanks for giving us great rate! The rate brought me there, and play will bring me back. I understand lots of reviewers have complained about the conditions including the last two holes. But I found the management making extra ordinary effort to remedy a difficult situation. And for that my hats off to them. My shout out to Marshal, Roy a wonderful guy...
course under repair
last 2 holes were temp greens, all greens needed work. staff is super friendly but this course has taken a turn for the worst since i used to play all the time when it was 2 courses
Could be better, but for $25.....
Highlights-course is in overall aesthetically great shape. Functionally, the greens are horrible and inconsistent, lost a lot of strokes, not to bad putting.
Staff friendly (shop clerk took an extra $5 off my purchase even though I didn't know the discount was applicable) and course played extremely quickly for a Friday at 1pm
Couple holes are out of commish for awhile while they do construction.
For $25, this is a bargain though. Will definately be back.
Poor greens and brown patches
This course seemed very old and forgotten. The greens had replacement patches of bad brown grass, just poor maintenance. The fairways had a lot of brown patches and dirt spots. The layout of the course isn't bad.
