Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

3. Good price
Cons:
1. many fallen brodaleafs
Nice place to play
Can't wait to play again, the weather was in the low 50's and a tad windy, but the course was in good shape, the bunkers had good sand and the greens are fair!
not only does this course need attention on greens, fairways, and putting up more nets, it has a nasty swampy ugly gutter running through the course
Place was poorly groomed, my cart got hit twice from other people on other holes without people calling out "FOUR"! I even got struck once in the foot. Nets don't protect anyone or anything around due to tight fairways. Greens were either extremely soft do to no sunlight or extremely fast and hard due to a lot of sun. The yardage on the golf courses GPS was accurate but on the holes placard at the T box they were off sometimes by 100 yards! Jumping over the "river" was a nice challenge at times but it was dirty, grimy, smelly, and the worst city backdrop I've ever seen.
the man working the front was nice and the practice greens at the front are nice as well. A golf course does not belong here and was not worth 45$!
The course is fair and in average condition due to the winter weather.
The pace of play is kind of slow due to players not recognize own ability and skill.
Average course. There's better nearby.
The course was okay at best. Pretty straight fairways. Nothing too challenging or interesting other than trees. Course isn't in great shape. Could use a little maintenance. The greens were pretty tough, very fast.
My biggest complaint is that we had a 1220 tee time, checked in 30 min early, and still teed off closer to 1. Ran out of light on the 17th. Way overbooked at a crucial time.
If you can find a deal, play here. Otherwise there's plenty of other places around.
Player Stacked up
The course was in nice condition for January, the greens were soft and clean. The only real issue we had was the course was stacked up and the play was very slow. We waited on every hole. We were 45 minutes late to tee off. Between the walkers and the overall slow play it really lowered the experience.
I would play it again...just earlier.
Very forgiving and in a great setting
Have played here a few times now and have had great experiences each time. Thanks for doing a great job. Its been windy and there are many beautiful trees that do drop leaves, but cant blame them for that. Greens are excellent.
Nice view like that there was some mountians to look at..
I like that the tee boxes were nice and the fairways were in good condition and the greens nice and green and the putts rolled true. The only thing I would like to see there again is the water being there again on the par 5 and the par 4... But over all I was happy with the course and the price and going back to play again soon .. The staff was very nice and friendly and made me feel welcomed by everyone... Food was good for the price and beer nice and cold the way it should be...
windy and bumpy greens
this was probably one of the fastest rounds I've ever played! 3 hours for a twosome. there was NOBODY ahead of us the whole round! loved that aspect!
This course is surrounded by mountains and it gets windy. careful. play the wind to your advantage. the blue tees are long! a decent drive still leaves you with a 150+ yard approach shot which makes hitting the green difficult. avoid the trees.
and pat down your line on the greens. these greens are BUMPY!! it can help or break your game.
if you like horses, you'll see some with the mountain backdrop. beautiful!
Average golf course
Average golf course at best.
Paid 55 on weekends. Could get better deals in that area.
the course is terrible.
I reserved a tee time at 1:14pm. When we checked in at 12:45pm, we were told that our tee time was
delayed for half an hour due to a tournament.
Fairways are like goat pastures. Greens are ok. Too much construction around to enjoy the area. Won't go back.

Nice open course.
Great place to golf at a bargain price. Highly recommend .
Bang for your buck
Decent course, can't complain for $35! Only thing, aim for the fairways, there are so many leaves in the rough, you will have a hard time finding your ball!
Fun but Ruff course
Playable but needs attention fair course for the money
Course needs attention.
Tee box is good but green has a lot of sand. Fair way has too much mud.
green river saturday Dec 1 2012
Course was booked online and we were forced into paying for cart regardless of the fact that we wanted to walk and were willing to pay for walking rate. Pro shop personnel claimed they had "no choice" but to charge us that way since it was booked that way. Poor customer service as the staff was completely inflexible and basically charged us for cart rate regardless of whether we were going to use them. Pretty stupid...we used the cart since we paid for it anyway. There should be a walking option instead of only cart rate. Not very good customer relations when you go for revenue instead of a good golf experience.
Cow pasture
Course in very bad shape. Carts paths tore up. Doesn't look like any attention given to maintaining course.
Overall good value with Hot Deal at $19.00
The staff is great! Helpful, firendly and attentive. The course has some issues with areas needing attention, a couple of greens with issues, fairways are okay at best. Liked the layout, not as straighforward as the score card would suggest. You need to plan your shots. I would play this course again. Main issue was a pile driver punding, can be heard on about 7 or 8 holes. Traffic and train noise common.
This course has small greens & tree lined fairways
Tee'd off at 12:18 on twilight rate for $22, great deal. The fairways are a little thin but I didn't mind it. The rough is patchy but playable. The greens are small and were fast. Rolled true other that a few ball marks other people didn't fix which I did. But like I said for $22 I would play there again and recommend it to everybody. Need to drive the ball straight
