Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Hole 11 Photo submitted by gbjunior on 05/18/2013
Don't waste your time
First time back to Green River after they combined both courses. You still mostly play the Corona side, only like 4 or 5 holes are from the OC course. There is no turn on the course so if you want any food, you have to wait til hole 13 and then it's only a shack. There is no cart driving around with food or drinks either. Although signs are posted to not hold up the group behind you and that if you do the marshall will ask you to let them through, I waited on nearly every hole and never once saw the marshall say anything to the group ahead of us.
CRAB GRASS!
Basically, there isnt a single patch of decent grass on this course. The fairways are ok to hit from, but get off the fairway 6 inches or miss the green at all and good luck trying to get a clean stroke on your ball because the crab grass sticks together and there isn't a chance to get your club through it. You end up hacking at the ball and the ground. This course may be cheap, but it wasn't worth my time dealing with that grass and I'll never go back again.
Friendly staff and nice course.
I would recommend this course to anyone wanting a variety of holes. Plenty of everything (except water). Price is in line with other courses of this stature.
Average course for the price.
OK I'll play it once in a while It's fair for the cost
Good play, keep out of tree lines and let it roll.
Second time playing with new layout. Course is fine and rate was good with golf now.
Windy in the canyon
Nice course with good layout. Was a bright windy day when played and the wind does alter shots. Probably not entirely fair to rate this course the day we played as the greens had been plugged in the last several days so putting was a bit of a challenge. Overall condition of the course is good and it offers a nice challenge for the recreational golfer. I was not hitting the ball as well as I would have liked on this date, so hard to say how the course would play if I had been striking the ball better.
A great course for the money
Green River is the product of two courses, cut down to one. There are holes that are pretty standard and straight away to holes that are very difficult. A couple of par three's can be reached with one shot and some par fives that take every thing your have to get to the green. It's very scenic in some places with the wind as an added challenge on a few holes over the hill on the West side of the course. A great golfing experience for the money. Some fairways can be covered with leaves at certain times of the year. I return on a regular basis.
Good course
Green Rivers is a nice place to play, you don't have to have 5-6 hours to finish a round
Course was in great shape.
Always have liked this course. Well kept and very reasonable to play even on the weeekends.
Decent Shape
Got a good price off of Golf now. The course is kind of mixed up since they lost more than 12 holes in a recent flood. So, it's only 18 holes that weaves through part of the Riverside and part of the Orange Course. Fairways were in great condition. Most greens except for a few that were burnt to the sand were good.
