Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Ok course for the price
One of the more affordable golf courses but you get what you pay for! Fun to play but nothing special.
Great golf course.
A cold, windy day for golf, yet so enjoyable. Cool, laidback vibe here. Starter Tom is a funny, wise sage that will set you up for a great day. Greens are great, carts are smooth and comfortable. All in all a great course. So beautiful out there.
Very very bumpy
Cratered cart paths, fairways like a minefield, and some very rough rough. Everything in the cart bouncing all over the place all 18 holes. It was rainy so the windshield was up and the dang plastic golf cart number sign kept slapping the windshield. Enough to drive you crazy even if your game is on point (which mine wasn't).
11 is under construction which pro shop didn't bother to mention and no real signage on the course. 120 yard par 3 for everyone.
Greens were fine.
Not enough golf carts for players
The employee said it was a hot deal, gave my tee time to the next person, and waited 25 minutes to receive two golf carts before playing golf. So I'm late for my next schedule.
Fun Course, Fun Layout
Green River is right on par with cost and value. The greens rolled very true and are well maintained. There are a handful of unique holes that make you think about the shot you want to play. The tee shots are pretty open with room to miss. Pace of play was reasonable for a Saturday. Besides the occasional train passing by--the course is very quiet. Will go back again soon.
Great time at Green River
It was a perfect day and location to play with my sons.
Good Value at Green River
The course is nice. My only critique would be to add more sand to the bunkers.
Another recommendation would to make a nine hole (walking only) par 3 course out of the open spaces.
I have many found memories from Green River and plan to keep playing there for many years.
They charged more $6 eatch person
I made reservatio. Through gold now
With $63 per person
But. At the course they asked me to pay more. Which is $70 dollars person
I did not understand. But they said they would not let me play so i had to pay more
Can you explain what was it ?
Course in good condition
I have played this course multiple times. It is a fun layout with wide fairways and good bunkering. The fairways are nicely filled in and the greens are receptive but still roll fast.
The hardest part of this course is trying to find your ball in the rough- with all the leaves piling up. But they have been doing better at blowing the loose leaves away.
Good
…………………..Got to be on the tee box at noon if you want to finish………………..
Good course for <$45-$50
Green River is a decent course for the right price. Not sure I’d pay their high end weekend rate. But for $35 or less weekday or $50 or less weekends, it’s a good track.
Condition is a little spotty. Definitely some barren spots in the fairways. Greens are in good shape though and the rough can be problematic.
Staff is friendly enough and for the most part leave you alone once you leave the pro shop. Haven’t seen a starter there in awhile. I usually play in the afternoon though.
Carts are a little rough, but run well and will get you through 18.
Pace of play is usually ok. Played in 4:05 on a weekday recently. No starter can lead to pairing up with a group in front or behind as the round progresses.
No real complaints, considering the cost.
