Green River Golf Club

About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Getting Better
Course is starting to look a lot better. Bunkers are getting fixed. They are looking like bunkers with sand not hard dirt. Unfortunately the pace of play is slow and tee times are not aligned with tee time reservations. We tee offed 15 minutes later than our tee times. We were backed up right from the begin with 2 groups in front of us waiting to tee off right from the first hole. Took 5 hours to finish the 18 holes.
First time At Green River
A sunny but windy day. Some interesting holes and decent pace of play. Greens were fine but a little bumpy. Fairways were decent, spotty in places. Restaurant/Bar and main bathrooms closed for an event. Most of the cart paths were under repair/replace. Stepped on a forming board nail and it went through my shoe and into my foot. Cart person came by a few times. Overall, more rustic than country club, but I'd go again.
Pace of play was sad
Well this course is between my golf buddy and me, and we got a Hot Deal on Golfnow, so we decided to give it a go. There were course improvement cart paths that blocked off most of the straight lines to the holes, and I get that. But coming up on the fifth hole there were 4 groups that hadn't teed off yet !! Spent almost 30 minutes teeing off there. Teed off at just around 2:00pm and just finished before it got dark. 5 and a half hours later. Where was the marshall ?? Wish I could give a better report.
Dang bugs
Great course. The only thing about the lace is the little annoying Nats. Until about 10am they all went away for the most part.
Good value
Course is decent for the value. Nothing really fancy. Greens are in good condition. The course is challenging.
Mow the tee boxes. If you can’t take care of the traps , remove them. Add better distance markers Just some simple course clean and it would be a nice course to play
Ok course for the price
One of the more affordable golf courses but you get what you pay for! Fun to play but nothing special.
Great golf course.
A cold, windy day for golf, yet so enjoyable. Cool, laidback vibe here. Starter Tom is a funny, wise sage that will set you up for a great day. Greens are great, carts are smooth and comfortable. All in all a great course. So beautiful out there.
Very very bumpy
Cratered cart paths, fairways like a minefield, and some very rough rough. Everything in the cart bouncing all over the place all 18 holes. It was rainy so the windshield was up and the dang plastic golf cart number sign kept slapping the windshield. Enough to drive you crazy even if your game is on point (which mine wasn't).
11 is under construction which pro shop didn't bother to mention and no real signage on the course. 120 yard par 3 for everyone.
Greens were fine.
Not enough golf carts for players
The employee said it was a hot deal, gave my tee time to the next person, and waited 25 minutes to receive two golf carts before playing golf. So I'm late for my next schedule.
